Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Shirley, thank you very much for gentle consideration. But I did not completely yet recover. I can want to do it in various ways, but live by saving it. You must take good care of your body, too.

jackwv

Jackie, I know how you feel when you view your lost, loved pets, but that slideshow must bring back the happy memories.   As time goes by I now go back and view my Kibbles and Zoe.  Agree that seeing the names of departed members also brings back happy memories.

Jackie Thanks for reposting the video.  What precious memories of those beautiful pets. When I lost my two poodles just 6 months apart, it was so hard.  Even 'tho it was years ago, I still remember them with love and a bit of nostalgia.

Linedancer, I was so surprised to read your post.  It is a small world, isn't it!  I do hope your grandson is much better.

Vanilla-Jackie

FlaJean, Jackwv, its the good and funny memories that keeps them alive, I often think of some silly antics which then bring a warm smile to my face as I remember it with fondness....

FlaJean, how sad to have lost two in such a short space of time....they maybe gone but we never ever forget them...

Jack, I am just about to watch your vidio clip of agility....our Benji too was very good at it, winning a rosette one time for finishing the whole course, although he was very fast, I don't ever recollect him coming first, but some great times to be had, although I done his ( very competitive ) training, I wasn't his agility handler....

jackwv

Jackie, my niece handled Jessie.  I did some training but was not fast enough in the ring and would confuse her.  Liked to see the novice runs, it was seldom Zoe would even finish a run.  Jessie won many ribbons, Zoe won smiles.

Jack, re, agility.......I am now smiling as I remember my late cocker spaniel Megan as a pup whilst in puppy training class......One week at the very last of our session, before dogs went up a class, we had a fun indoor agility, just a two or three agility fun equipment set up.......Well my Megan came last in everything, and when it came to the last bit, jumping onto the large square table, the last thing to do, she really just couldnt do it.........She was the only dog there that had no Interest....but she sure got the most laughs, as for me, it was just pure embarrassment...... ;D

Now if only I had a vidio clip of that...

Sachiko3

I made a video about flowers which bloomed in my garden in July, and persimmon, the petit-tomato.

Sachico3

I have just visited your collection of videos etc.  They are so beautiful and flowers speak the same language the world over.

So pleased you are getting better.  Singing in the rain was delightful.

Sachiko3

junee, thank you so much for your gentle words! I improve little by little. I went to the downtown of Fukuyama on a train with my husband today.
I am very glad you enjoyed my videos.

jackwv

Sachiko your garden is filled with treasures, always enjoy a view of it.

FlaJean

Sachiko, I liked those photos of you and your husband in younger years.  Also enjoyed the video of your pretty flowers.

Sachiko3

Jack, Jean, thank you very much for your comments.
My mother-in-law planted various flowers in this garden for many years. Therefore I enjoy those floral art every season. I thank her very much!

Jean, there are other photos on the top. If it is now, they are good memories for me.

This morning, from my back hill, I enjoyed the chorus of a bush warbler and small birds.
But I was not able to see their figure this time either.

jackwv

Sachiko, I like the sound of the birds.   You have so many bushes and trees, understand why you would not be able to see them.

FlaJean

Sachiko, do you have a patio or porch to sit outside and enjoy your bush warbler?  We have a lot of birds here and enjoy their singing.  We often sit outside for a while in the evening after it cools down.  The days have been very hot but in the evening there is often a breeze and it is pleasant.

Shirley

Sachiko, I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos this morning, thank you!  Like you, I have "nature" behind my house and love the sound of birds singing.  Mine are mostly the red winged black birds right now, but plenty of others that come to the river for one reason or another.  Right now the river is over full so my tiger lilies are only showing the blooms.  I did take photos earlier but have not downloaded them from the camera.  So nice you are feeling strong enough to share your life.  It has been so hot & humid here I don't spend much time outside.  Yesterday the "heat index" was 108°, hard to breathe outside and grateful for the air conditioning.

Good morning to all..... :heli: :witch:

Lindancer

Sachiko, I also enjoyed both your videos, thanks

Sachiko, I did not hear the birds this time, but I have previously.  You have a beautiful yard and I envy you.

Mary Ann

Sachiko3

Jack, Jean, Shirley, Lindancer, Mary Ann, thank you very much for your comments.

Jack, that's right! Because there are a lot of trees on the back hill, and leaves grow thick, the figure of birds is not seen to me.

Jean, I do not have a patio or porch either. I sit down on my favorite chair and enjoy their chorus.

Shirley, Fukuyama became very hot, too. I do not want to appear outdoors in the daytime, too. And my birds are like the break, too.

Mary Ann, it will be why that you did not hear the voice of the birds in my video.

Vanilla-Jackie

Sachiko, the back garden we left behind had several trees, sadly we here new people moved in and the house owner has got rid of the trees to the back, where all the birds flocked from.....Sadly I cant seem to attract birds here at our new home, I have water and birdfeed out, but it rarely gets touched but, they do come to the feeder to the front of home, not many just the odd one or two....I am a lover of both birds and trees, that is where I am at my happiest....as far as I am aware, I have never seen nor heard a UK Bush Warbler....although there are several other related Warblers in UK...

I do so envy all your garden trees... :)

Sachiko3

Vanilla-Jackie, thank you very much for your comment. I had a visitor today, and it becomes slow to access here, and I'm sorry.
Father of my husband planted trees in this garden, and I thank him very much.

This morning on my suggestion we took both dogs to a tourist attraction opposite side to our Weymouth beach and promenade, a place you would never expected to be there...Along with the tourist attraction there is a vast woodland dog walking area, in fact you could say " country meets the coast....." I made use for the first time my Blue Badge disability parking....we just display it on the front of the dashboard, this allows our car to be closer to the main entrance, although the woodland walk was a bit further away, with no disable parking bays there....I suggested this walk for the dogs as our eldest has a cancer and may not be with us too long, although looking at him today, you really would never believe it....He ( Benji ) also had what we believed to be a stroke last week, thank you God it wasn't, but it was Vestibular Syndrome which we now know mimics a stroke, of which our Benji is as good as recovered from it, he has made an amazing recovery.....give or take the odd off balance, hence why we kept the dogs on lead, and not off lead today....Link to Photopeach clip.....there is music...

Jackie, it is great that Benji was able to join you, he is a trooper.   Nice spot for a walk with the pups.

With warm humid weather was out early to mow the lawn, and now doing my usual, sitting at the computer till Jessie reminds me it is time to eat and take a walk.   I did a slide show of my river the Ohio that forms in Pittsburgh and flows to the Mississippi.   Just a group of photos I have saved over the last few years.  The music "Beautiful Ohio" played by Glenn Miller

Lindancer

Jack, thanks for the slide show of the Ohio,  and the beautiful music.

Vanilla-Jackie

Jack wv, thank you, as you know it could have easily had been different, our Benji might not have been with us, thank God he still is....

There is a lot going on around your river, with several different types of vessels.....There is always something relaxing being near to water....

JeanneP

Jack. Great video. Now is Wheeling a River town. It looks like it with those buildings. I drove by the Pittsburgh.Pa. couple years ago. Would like to have stopped and seen the city some.  I saw pictures of it 50 years ago from a friend who was born and raised there. Sure did not look like that then.
Now the are beginning to think that the Building of all these bridges and high rises are what is causing all the flooding that is happening all over the country. Could be true.

Just a short video clip I have titled " just flowers..." the beautiful pink flowers are called Lychnis Splendens...the only way I know is that previous owners who had planted them left the flower card in the ground next to them with the picture of them on....there have been many different flower varieties that have opened and bloomed, just waiting to see which will be next that our previous homeowners had planted....The potted plants are a mixture that we bought to brighten up our decking area, we now need to separate the positioning of them....Link.....music is " The Flower Duet..."...

Mary Ann

Jackie, I think it is interesting and fun to see what flowers appear from what the previous owners planted.

Jack, I wonder if I was ever in Pittsburgh.  I know I had to get to Wheeling and Wellsburg by crossing the Ohio, but we may have crossed at Steubenville.  I enjoyed the pictures of the river, also of Wheeling.  It was in 1950 that my dad and I were there so I wish I was in better traveling shape to make the trip again and absorb some of the features of the area.

Mary Ann

FlaJean

What a pleasure to see the videos you all have posted.
Jack, the scenes of your area and the Ohio River are so pleasant.
Jackie, I enjoyed both your videos.  That's a nice park for both you and the dogs.  I love those pink flowers, and your deck looks ideal for relaxing and having a cuppa.

jackwv

Thanks all.  JeanneP  guess it would have been a "river town"   Like Pittsburgh, Steubenville,  and MaryAnns Wellsburg both sides of the river were lined with coke plants and steel mills.  No bridge at Wellsburg, years back had a ferry.  Now have to go north to Steubenville or South to Wheeling.  1950 I worked downtown Pittsburgh, then the smoky city, not now.

Jackie that is a beautiful back yard, it may take lots of work but the results are great.

Jean, the view is much better now, but the jobs went with the old steel mills.
