Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Sachiko3

It became slightly slow that I accessed here,

It is about 11:00 p.m. in the climax of the Gion festival. As I was not able to be in the shrine for reasons of my physical condition this year until that time, I was not able to make the video. This is the video two years ago.

jackwv

Sachiko that is such an impressive ceremony and so well attended.  I recall your previous post and nice to revisit.

FlaJean

Sachiko, I enjoyed your video.

I hadn't made a video in Photopeach in a long time so thought I would give it another try.  Sat. evening we went to a play at the local community college.  They have a beautiful art center.  I took a couple of photos outside.

Jean I do like photopeach and the ability to pick the music.  You picked a good one.   Liked the flowers but the highlight was the group dancing in the pool/fountain.

Mary Ann

Jean, thanks for a visit to a lovely place.  I enjoyed the folks dancing in the fountain, too, and I liked the flowers and  music.  You have a lot of good places to visit in Florida.

Mary Ann

FlaJean

Thanks Jack and Mary Ann.  I really like this area of Florida and the area where we live is very convenient--dentist, Doctor and ophthalmologist all within a half mile.  I have glaucoma so I was glad to find an experienced ophthalmologist close by.

Jean, I left a remark about the music perfectly complementing the photos! Now that is my type of music, jazz or blues instrumental.

FlaJean

Sachiko3

Jack, Jean, thank you very much for your comments!
This festival is succeeded in this way to the next generation.

Sachiko3

Jean, Mattie Kelly Arts Center is wonderful! And flowers are beautiful. The music assumes the video it more gorgeously.

Lindancer

Joan, just watched your video, enjoyed it very much. Loved the dancers.

FlaJean

Thank you Sachiko and Linedancer.  We really enjoyed the play put on by the college students---very professional.  It is a really nice auditorium and very comfortable seating.

JeanneP

Jean.  Now I enjoy a lot of the Plays and things that are put on here. Some University and also the Junior College.  They have them about every 6 weeks.  One high school here did very good one this year. Being a University town there are shows going all the time. I have seen some done by them where I had paid lots of money in the City for the Professionals.. The Amateurs did just as good.  We have one big place that the Professional come but I refuse now to pay around $75 to see them. Has to be really good.

We are also a University town as well as a military one with offers from both. We have a robust community theater, Children's theater, many, many types of dancing with seven dance studios beyond school and University.

You can join or enjoy season tickets to dance, theater or martial arts. The possibilities are endless and will include adult education or community college courses and offerings or take creditless free classes for seniors over 65 at the University. The musical offerings alone would take years to see all and enjoy and are available for all ages.

Various clubs are offering up interests to enjoy and community events celebrating unity with others around the world and our many local cultures. There is something for everyone and every moment of the day.

My issue is transportation. The buses and disability vans run 6:30 to 8 Monday through Saturday on select routes, not taking into consideration, event times or days and the Senior Center has a small van and limited scheduling.

Shirley

Great shows, Sachiko & Jean.... thank you both!  I left a comment with yours, Jean.... but can't do that on uTube, Sachiko.  Tonight I am having trouble with my internet running very slow.  I am also running slow so think I will get ready for bed!   :sun:

Sachiko3

Shirley, thank you very much for your comment.
Fukuyama was a very hot day today.

Sachiko3

Very hot day continues in Fukuyama.
There were two crape myrtles that flowers had dark pink and the light pink in my garden in Yokohama. It will be to bloom beautifully from now on.

Sachiko they are beautiful, really enjoy a visit to your garden.

Mary Ann

Sachiko, such beautiful trees.  I am sure you miss them.

Was it from your home in Yokohama that could see Mt Fuji?  Can you see it from your home in Fujiyama?

Mary Ann

FlaJean

Sachiko, lovely garden.  I was also wondering if you can see Mt Fuji at your new home.

Shirley

Beautiful Crape Myrtle and Rose of Sharon, Sachiko, and the contrasting leaves such a bright green.  I noticed how they were swaying in the wind.

It is steamy hot now, was a little cooler with a breeze this morning.  I am SO eager for fall and winter.... but I remember my mother warning me about "wishing my life away"..... Well, maybe wishing the next month away won't matter, can't think of anything nice to say about summer!   :P

angelface555

Nice video, Sachiko!

Correct me of I'm wrong, but doesn't Sachiko own both homes and has for a time.

Mary Ann

Patricia, I thought I read where they sold the house in Yokohama and have only the one house now.  It may have been about the time Sachiko was so ill.  I know she'll come in and give the correct information.

Mary Ann

Sachiko3

Jack, Mary Ann, Jean, Shirley, angelface, thank you very much for your comments.
Yesterday, my daughter came to my house in Fukuyama. And I spent it going to our vegetable garden together this morning and  spent busily. Therefore it becomes slow that I access here.

From my house in Yokohama to my house in Fukuyama, it takes five hours by the High speed railway and other vehicles. Most of my husbands stay in Fukuyama.
And I was not able to commute frequently after I suffered from heart failure. Therefore it decreased that I went to Yokohama.
But I can enjoy my garden in Yokohama with nostalgia when made for the video in this way.

angelface555

Thank you,  Sachiko for that explanation.  Enjoy your garden!

Got the lawn mowed then high temps and humidity chased me inside.   Decided to do a slide show of the little fountains located at the park.  Now there are spectacular fountains around the globe, but I love this group and they are so close to home.

Mary Ann

Jack, I like fountains and these are very nice.

Mary Ann

JeanneP

Jack.
That park has got to be one of the best in the country.going by what you have shown us.
I never see it in.

How big is it?

Jack, nice refreshing fountains for a hot day.    My favorite is the one with the hanging baskets all around.   Especially the night views of it.   Must really be nice to sit there in the evenings.
