Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Great photo.

Rutumi - Has anyone told you you resemble Junee? Junee still posts here at times.

Jeanne Lee

OH! MY GOODNESS!!!   :yikes:    :whip2:

Beverly, a good thing you mentioned the resemblance to Junee.  That photo was from JUNEE, - NOT RUTUMI!  I don't know where my brain was when I posted that - guess all the hospital visits scrambled it.

I apologize profusely for that mixup.

I think the names are backwards, also - or the picture is turned around.  (Just glad you back amongst us, JeanneP.  We missed you.)

As most of you know, GinnieB and Nancy lived in the OKC area for several years.  Ginnie, Helona and I often got together for lunch.
You may also know that Ginnie is from Tennessee, which is evident the minute she begins to speak.   Story she told from her trip to Australia:

Ginnie (in her very southern accent and phrasing):   "In Tennessee, when your hostess offers pie after dinner, you say, "Oh, no thank you;  I couldn't eat another bite". Then the hostess says,  "Oh, just a little piece?"  You say,  "It looks delicious but...." and she says "I know it's your favorite".   You say,  "Oh well , maybe just a tiny piece."   ........And then you get your pie.'
"Well!  In Australia, when the hostess offers pie and you say "Oh, no thank you...."   ............You don't get any pie!!!!!!!!"

Helona and I had a good laugh about that one.

We also had a good laugh when Junee and Whimsy came to visit Ginnie and Nancy.  They invited the "Okie SeniorNet bunch" for a typical Southern dinner - and Junee brought Marmite for us to try.   Everybody tried a bit of everything - but I don't remember anyone asking for seconds.

Good times with good friends.

Jeanne - No problem! We all make mistakes!

Callie - In this case,  I would say the order is correct, as she said right to left. At least that's how I would describe it. I usually name them left to right, which would have put Junee's name first.  ???

Happy to say I have met Junee, Whimsy and Ginnie.

Mary deBoer brought a jar of Marmite for me. It was okay in very small doses.  :)

CallieOK

Beverly, Oops . I read too fast and didn't catch the right to left. Thanks for telling me.

Beverly

Callie - I've seen local newspapers do that and if I don't know the people pictured, I get confused!  ::)

MaryPage

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE PHOTOS!

I, too, am a dummy who cannot read directions.  I automatically looked from left to right, as always, and got confused as all get out, as I knew some of the faces from before.

Yes, Wisia wrote beautifully such heartbreaking memories.  I was always hoping a book would be published.

Such an active lady, that Eloise.  Remember, when she went to Spain to study Spanish and Flamenco?

That was Katie Sturtz sitting behind Larry Hanna!

:)  Thanks!  I hope you won't have too much to wait for the repair.  I also hate it when I need to use that I-pad.  Most inconvenient for my big fingers!

I am the one waving in purple top, at the left rear of the bus.

Sandy

I think that I am second from the top left.   (right above you,  Pat)

Then again,  maybe not.
I know that I was around when that bus tour went on!

I am third from left in the bottom row on the bus. I have gained some more grey hairs since then.  ::)
We had so many laughs in those old Cartoon Fun days. I miss them.

Someone in another discussion mentioned Norm and Dot Tock. I took this photo when I first met them at least 15 years ago.
