Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

I don't usually post anything from my basic lessons as well, gee, basic... But I liked this Josephine Wall graphic, the two different patterns offered and the font that was utilized by using texture's sculpture effect on a letter and then using those letters as corners.I've forgotten the correct term for a font made up out of symbols. These are both L55.

First up is the graphic using is the KC-Gold silk pattern and the second graphic is using the 132A pattern. I prefer the former.

These last two are cleverly done, bravo! It's lovely to see those small detailed people framed in the heart; would that be three different ones blended together, plus the big lady?
Josephine Wall has a wonderful imagination.

Bubble, yes, besides the couple dancing under the moon, there are numerous vignettes alongside of woman's head as if it is all in her mind. What did you think of my frame on the previous page? One of the first where I didn't have to stop and start over! All of the corners and designs on the two L55s are created using fonts.

I really like Simple What. Everything works together so well in that graphic. Explosion is unique and the color combinations and the play of light and shadow.

That frame made me dizzy! Too much of it, but well done.  It would be easy to be lost doing it!

angelface555

Just playing around with that frame.

Yes.  This one is very good, and I like the corner ornament.

Okay, I'm seeing from sweet and girlish to  I don't know what with Verdoyance? It sort of reminds me of graffiti under a bridge? I like the juxtaposition!

I really like the top edging on Outono, you are becoming more creative in what you do with these tutorials

This was my take on a challenge in one of my groups. You were to use one of the three supplied backgrounds, no more than 4 tubes and at least two plugin filters. I used three filters, one tube and cutouts, borders and utilized material's properties. My first completed challenge outside of a class.   8)  :smiley6600:   ::)

WOW  what a treat here today. I will not comment on any 1 because I woulod forget another one I really liked, too.

PATRICIA  if 3/4 of the Winni frames were not there I would like them. I do not like all the bows she uses.   That was why I dropped out of those lessons and that was a long time ago.

BUBBLE  you do come up with some intricate backgrounds and I often wonder how you do it.

Happy Halloween everyone! Such super cool, creative, graphics! I am in awe!

Gloria, in teaching frames, it is not expected you will only do the frames with all the repetitions and doodads hanging off them. That's not what they're teaching. They show you the technique and through repetition, help you to absorb those techniques. Think of it as multiplication tables. It is for that same reason that in the lessons they do not use a plugin like Simple's Top Left Mirror. By teaching layers duplicate, and then mirror or flip, they are cementing the basics. You may then take it from there.

I have these two frames to show, L13 & L14. I have only two left before I move on to the next section.

This is from one of the three I did today for my blending classes. One particular enjoyment from these classes are the multiple settings for Gaussian Blurs, gradients, patterns and Corel's basic filters. I believe some tutorials and those of us practicing, get into the rut of using the same settings. For example, I have never used the number 315 as one of the inner bevel settings for an angle.

Here is a pretty blend from the lessons, using burn from materials properties.

Angel, I have used different angles/settings for inner bevel found in tuts.  When I like one, I save it with a given name and then I need to remember only the name so as to use it again elsewhere.  My favorite one I called ET!

I like your 2nd  frame but it bothers me that the large layer is not symmetric. I would have used left top simple on it!  I know it is not in your lesson.

angelface555

Then perhaps only a few of us have progressed beyond the standard usages. I'm not sure if on the frame if you meant the larger piece didn't take to a level as well. Or, as I suspect, the top ribbons? Anyway, here is a graphic I misted, shadowed and framed. I named it Quiet.
