Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Marilyn

Angel your frames are very pretty. I really like this lst one in particular, it seems a lot mor subtle than the others.

angelface555

It is isn't it Marilyn? But remember my earlier post and your multiplication tables. All those doodads and all that replication serve to cement the technique. They aren't teaching a particular frame so much as they are a way of doing a frame. I now have only 16 classes left to finish out the framing class.

Then it is just Blends and Basics unless I get a yearning for filters, scripting or another of their nine or more offerings.

so_P_bubble

Quiet is  so serene!

I too like your last frame, but with the same reservation: see how the inner large band is symmetric all around?  But the external large band is not, the top and left side are lovely but the bottom and right side are jumbled.  This to me is screaming for simple top left.  Have it all symmetric, or have it all jumbled, but not both. :D  my taste of course.

Bubble, you are speaking to someone who has flat vision. My vision lacks acuity so in these cases I simply do not see in perspective, I have to try and line it up with something in the lesson's example area. Flores em Septembro and Skyline have amazing backgrounds, I love the inserts!

Marilyn, do you usually follow tutorials or do your own designs? Yours always seem to tell a story.

Marilyn

I don't use tutorials, I create from my own imagination. That you for the nice compliment Angel..
Bubble I don;t see  the asymmetry in Angels  images they look fine to my eyes. I do like your last two images.

For this image I ued a picture for the background then  used Geometric vertical perspective filter and one  to sort of twirl. then added the face, did luminence legacy and porcelian on the finished image. I call it

Abstract with Face.

Marilyn, this is how the Angel's original outer border looks like

[attachimg=2]

This is using simple Top-Left. Compare left and right on each frame, or top and bottom.  It is easier to see it than to explain!
The circles are clear  and complete on the 2nd one

Okay, now I see what you mean!

Marilyn, I like what you did with the face! I think I have that tube somewhere.

Marilyn

thank you angel..

Bubble now I see what you mean.

Here is my latest Basic Lesson. Sorry Bubble...but I'm taking Filters as soon as I finish those last 16 in Frames... :smiley6600:

:smiley6600: Only 43 more graphics for my Basics class, 49 more for my Blending class and just 14 left for my Framing class.

L17; That poor puppy looks so forlorn and yes this frame is way too overdone. I would have taken out all of the flourishes.

interesting how that pattern was done on the large outer frame of the dog, or on the dark diagonal stripes on the last one.  Is that using a pattern?

angelface555

Bubble, both of these frames featured three textures, similar to a wallpaper pattern and one either gradient or glitter pattern. Alternating these in a certain way with borders, cut outs and/or inner and outer bevels set differently at times within the lesson. I liked the second one best. The first one was a terrific frame without all the extras thrown at it. But that should slow down now as the lessons are changing to a new style.

Peaceful is very nice. That is one of the reasons that green is my favorite color.

so_P_bubble

Yes these extras are a nuisance.  When they fit the frame it is different, like the corners in my Scrambler.
