Love it that "she rules", Jack..... look at it this way, it's okay to spoil our grandchildren & she is kind of both yours & her 2nd family.  Just enjoy. I am also curious what she thinks about the deer at Oglebay.  She does look happy, for sure, and I feel the joy in your words~

Temp in the 50's and sunshine, so Mimi checking things out at the park.

FlaJean

Although Sato can't participate in the forums, I'm glad he is able to read the posts and know we miss him.  I had a short message from him and he is still ill in the hospital.

Jack, Mimi is smiling and reminds me so much of Jessie.  Good photos.

Joy

Jean,  nice that you keep in touch with Sato.  However, I am wondering about Sachiko.  Have not heard anything from her for a good while now.  I don't remember reading anything about her being ill again.  I really miss both of them and their beautiful pictures.

Thanks Jean for the post on Sato, still hope someday he and Sachiko will again be able to post.

FlaJean

Joy, I did write a note on her Facebook page, but I don't think she checks her Facebook pages anymore.  I hope she is well.

JeanneP

Jack. I am amazed. She sit there just like Jessie. Like she is posing for her photo.

You were so lucky finding her. (Like she was finding you). Whoever raised her were good owners.

JACK WV....
....I too agree, you struck lucky on the meeting up with Mimi.....you seem to be a perfect match.....Do you know her past history?

Jack, sure sign its Autumn with all those golden leaves around...

I too miss Sato and Sachiko, their postings always give pleasure....Hoping for the best, re, their medical issues...

jackwv

JeanneP I am still reluctant to leave her off leash, but she appears to listen.   Taking her to spots I have taken Jessie and Zoe and pose her in the same places.

Jackie, she spent her life with a breeder friend of my niece.  Mimi had a number of litters but no longer bred, she is now 8 years old and slept most of her time, surrounded by younger Goldens and pups.  I was looking at a younger dog she had but she we all felt too much to handle.  The owner knew my history with Goldens and said she would be a good match and was willing to let her go.

angelface555

Jack, it seems they were right about the two of you being a good match. You and Mimi will have wonderful times together and I'm sure she was glad to leave those young pups behind!  :)

JeanneP

That is the reason she is so quite. Seems like dogs who have had litters of puppies are calm. (Seems to work that way on human mothers) Those who have quite a few children calmer.  Did you notice that Jack with your Mother.?
Eight years is a good year for you. already housebroken. knows commands. You chose well.  Bet it does feel a lot like you still have Jessie.

It has stormed all night here and still coming down hard.  I put off going out yesterday and planned on today. Need to do it regardless of storm.  Suppose to be in the 50s but not seeing it.  I hate days like this.

JACK WV....
...good that Mimi has now got a good quality end of life, after only knowing to be used as pup breeding....It is a different life now to what she has been used to, a better and more fun life...new smells, new places....

jackwv

Think you are all right about her liking it quiet here.   Now JeanneP you commented on mothers, my mother was a lot calmer after having her 10th child.   :)

JeanneP

I think women were back in the 30s and up to late 40s. Women didn't work before that . just had big families . My mum just raised 3 but we were all 5 years apart and her mother , Aunts and everyone lived by us. So she got pretty independent. Think the 7 years of war changed things also.

Joy, Sachiko did reply to my message on Facebook.  She has been busy making a rose garden and will soon be uploading some photos for us to enjoy.  I am so glad to know that she is getting along well.

Sachiko3

Jean, thank you very much for your kind message to Facebook. I became fine by your message. And I felt like posting my pictures finally.

Sachiko3

Everybody, I was silent quite for a long time. My heart failure became almost good.
I'm sorry not to post a picture.
My daughter came to my home in Fukuyama at the end of September, and we visited Fukuyama rose park. The roses were in full bloom and beautiful.

SACHIKO.....
....happy to see you back with us and posting once again....Good to hear you are now recovered well from your heart failure early in the year, now taking you into our next year with an " all clear...."....Beautiful roses, have to admit, roses are my favourites, so many variations of colours to choose from and fragrances....I left some behind at my old address, we do have some left behind from our previous new home owners but they are a plain white and hidden around our corner to the side....I may have to find a spot to plant some more, but of different colours, so I can see them when I look our my kitchen window.....

Oh, and love the photo of you and daughter, you both give off the same radiant smiles...

Mary Ann

Sachiko, it is so good to see a post from you.  You and  your daughter look to be in good health and the roses are beautiful.  Stay healthy!

Mary Ann

Joy

Sachiko,  Oh !!!  It is just so good to hear from you.  You and your beautiful pictures have been missed for so long.  I am so happy that you are in good health.  Beautiful pictures of your trip to the Rose Gardens with your daughter.  Your pictures, this morning, are a wonderful welcome on this rainy, chilly day here in Central Maryland,  on the east coast of the US.  Really brightens up the day,

Again, so happy to have you back with us.

Vanilla-Jackie, Mary Ann, Joy,
Thank you very much for your gentle comments. I'm quite moved. I'd like to write more, but time to have to sleep. I'll post the pictures which will be different tomorrow.

jackwv

Sachiko, continue to get all the rest you need.  That is a fine photo of you and your daughter, good that you can get together.
I always love roses but we never seemed to have luck with them years back when we both worked.

Hope we will hear more from you soon.

so_P_bubble

Hi Sachiko, Hello daughter. Lovely pictures and beautiful colorful roses.  I am glad to see you back in health and camera ready to share with us :D

halkel

Sachiko, welcome back.  You were missed.  And what great news you are feeling much better.  Great picture of you and your daughter.  Your, as always, beautiful pictures of the roses.  Again welcome back.

FlaJean

Sachiko, I enjoyed your photos of those beautiful roses.  Such a nice picture of you and your daughter.  Wonderful to hear from you.

JeanneP

Sachiko. You are now looking so well again. Can tell you are taking good care. We have to do that more as we get older.
How beautiful those Rose Gardens are for so late in the year.  We have nothing blooming in my Town right now. Very Winter looking but now snow yet.

Good morning!

Jack, so_P_bubble, Jean, JeanneP,
Thank you very much for your gentle comments! I'm very happy because it's possible to post to S&F.
I was interchanging in Line with Sato and was encouraging each other. I'm wishing he can post to S&F early, too.

Roses bloom from May to November in Japan. And there are also roses which bloom in December.
And in this autumn, they were better-looking than an ordinary year.
I was still happy because I looked with my daughter bringing up roses.

angelface555

Sachiko, it is so nice to see you back feeling better and again posting such beautiful roses. Your daughter shares your beautiful smile!
