Sue.  Take it easy now.  Rest a lot for awhile. All sounds good. Never seen that putting in Stent go so fast. Surprise they had you wait at your appointment.

Sue...you must have been burning up the bridge table....6,000 points...wow!  So glad you're feeling better with the stent.

Mary...enjoy your time away with your family!

Rain has ended and big storms were south of us....Jeanne may get them.

My cards today were miserable.  I ended up low of 9 players...so got .25 "for my misery." :2funny:

Jane

Maybe it was 600 points--I was so excited I thought I'd have another heart attack!

I'm off to bed now to read a bit and an early lights out.

Sue

SCFSue

P.S.  It probably was just 600 points.  I finished up with a grand slam, made all the tricks!  Pretty exciting end for a nice day.

Sue

jane

The points don't matter....you had a great day and a wonderful hand to play.  I've never had that...so rare...so enjoy!!

Beautiful morning here...the birds are singing and the sky is clear and it's warming up a bit.

I need to get some things completed around here...some computer stuff and some light housekeeping and, I hope, get a walk in.  I would guess Ray will be headed to the golf course when he gets back from "Morning Coffee" downtown.

I've had a pretty good day.  One of my friends from book club and also a Village Friend picked me up and took me for a much needed haircut.  After that she took me to the library where I put my name on the list for The Man Named Ove and checked out 4 paper backs as they are much easier to hold as my left arm is not supposed to move much yet until the incision heals completely.

I hope everyone has had a good day.  This has been a nice sunny day here and a good one for me, just to be able to go out for a while.

Sleep well, Buddies.
Sue

jane

Sue...it sounds as if they went through your arm with the stent, rather than the groin.  I think that's the new way.  Ray had his 2 stents after scar tissue closed up where he had open heart surgery though the groin.

ISP guy just here and upgraded us from 6 whatevers to 25 whatevers for free....new modem, new password, new network, of course, but he said it'd be a lot faster.

I'm off to grocery while Ray's golfing for sugar for the hummers and parchment paper for my Inhouse Chef!

Was going to work out doors but took a nap.  Crazy me.  Decided to go back to making own bread. Not in machine. I got it mixed and put to raise for 6 hours.  Then to bake for 30 min. Forgot it and at midnight last night woke up to remember.  Darn loaf was massive. Blown up out of the bread pan.  Anyway I  stayed up to bake it. By that time to big for the darn oven. Finely got it done.  Thought would have to throw away but it turned out bad shaped but really good.
Better than can buy and then I throw half a loaf away if I buy the store kind.

Sharon.  Saw your posting in Facebook. I only have seen 3 of these place. Going to start making more short trips into Indiana. Such a great State and use to go often until my friend passed away.  Lets post it here. Maybe get some to visit.
Indy has curving roads that I like. not as flat as Illinois  http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/indiana/best-day-trips-indiana/

I will put it over into the Photo forum also.

SharonE

Thanks, Jeanne. Yes, Indiana is a pretty state--especially the southern part.

I got my 2nd trial installed yesterday. Was pretty painful yesterday evening, but I slept really well last night and wasn't awakened with pain.  When they were testing it at the clinic, it seemed like it covered an awful lot more area than the last time. However this morning after I dressed and did a few things, the old pain was back, so I need to talk to the technician and get it adjusted upward.

John's taking me out to dinner tonight for Mother's day. I'm not sure if I'll make it to church tomorrow or not. I slept till 11:00 today!  I never do that.

I received cards from all 3 of the kids and flowers from Brian. Melanie has called and I'm sure I'll hear from the other 2 tomorrow.

Jane, glad you got your ISP upgraded. Whoo Hoo!  Must be nice to have an inhouse chef!  My cleans up, but cooking isn't in his repertoire.

Saw a nice pic of Mary's family on FB so guess she's having a great time with all of them. I'm envious.

No other news here. Happy Mother's Day to all of you.
Sharon

JeanneP

Sharon. Glad to hear that you got the 2nd trial overwith. Hope they get it to give lots of help.
LIke me it seems like all your family are scattered. I suppose I could move but just cannot talk myself into doing it.  All get in touch tomorrow. They have their families and so glad they get to do the mothers day now. Got lots of little kids around them.

My friend who I spent lots of time with lived Southern Indiana. I loved that drive down there. Miss going. She passed so young.  I am going to start going to some of those places shown on your lists. All can be done in a few hours.

Hi Buddies.  I just had a phone call from Bill and I'm expecting him to arrive in about 2 hours.  He was in Oxford, AL., with the SIUE women's softball team, but they lost their second game today and are going home, so he's coming down here for a few days.  Tim and Kris will be out of town until Tuesday.

I've been reading a Robert B. Parker mystery this morning and will continue until Bill gets here.  I hope all are well and having a good day.

Happy Mother's Day to all you who are mothers.
Sue

Beautiful day here and we were lazy getting up and going....so went out for breakfast and then on to Cedar Rapids to the New Bo City Market and area.

Lots of people out on a Saturday enjoying the Market and the pubs and restaurants.

JeanneP

That looks like a great market.  I can't stand Mall but love Market places. Wish it was closer.

Sue. Now is Bill another son?  That is a nice Mothers day him coming to visit. Keep is eye on you.  At times you are like the (Battery Bunney). Can't think of its name. but keep on the go.  I am finely slowing down.....Not from Want but can tell I need to...

Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day...one son brought me a beautiful corsage to wear to church tomorrow..will get calls from others tomorrow ...it's getting real warm here...dread the hot summer..Hi to you all Darlene

maryz

Happy Mother's Day to the mothers.  I've had a great week with my girls and some of the grands and their spouses/significant others.  We've seen and done a lot.  This is a lovely part of Kentucky to visit - lots to see and do.  We'll all be heading for home tomorrow, and I'll be back in my normal routine for a while.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers here.

Easy day here today...it's beautiful so a walk and watering the flowers is probably as strenuous as it gets.

JeanneP

Nice here also.  All the University Grads walking around. Lots of Mother in Town. Always nice when it can be held outdoors.  So many from other countries. Specially China and Indiana.

We had Mother's Day and graduation day celebrations at church.  Nice looking kids with ao much in front of them.

We went out to eat last night, so nothing special today except for a couple calls from the kids. I got flowers from Brian and cards from all 3. Mel called yesterday because they were leaving for FL. I'll hear from the other 2 tonight.

Jane, the market looks wonderful.  Enjoy your day.

Lovely here. Sunny & 80 degrees.

Sue, glad Bill is there. Nice to have him to celebrate with.

Hi Darlene. Glad you're in touch with all your family.

Hi to all.  Sharon

Marilyn

Happy Mother's Day ladies.

I think I have keith talked into taking me out for something to eat later since I didn't thaw out anything for supper.  I haven't heard from Gilbert for 2.5 days and am getting worried about him. We had been talking every day for over a month ever since sarah threatened to  have someone do bodily harm to him. I am so concerned about his emotional well being as well. This is a very difficult subject for me to talk about so I will let it go there.

{{{{{Marilyn and Gilbert}}}}}

Margaret and Jesse got me home about 1:30 this afternoon.  It was a great week, and I'm really tired.  Back into the routine tomorrow.

Happy new week, Buddies!

Trips like that are not for resting Mary.  Now you can catch up with your relaxing. Sounds like you had a fun trip.  Not to hot. Not to cool.  Hot here today. Don't think I am ready for summer if it is going to be warmer than this.  Now for your Laundry.
JeanneP

SharonE

Marilyn, sorry about Gilbert. I hope all is well.  HOpe Keith took you out to dinner too.

Mary, sounds like you had a great time, but these days, great times are exhausting! :(

My cleaning girl is here today, but nothing else of interest going on. I'm waiting for the tech to call and help me adjust the nerve stim up.  No improvement here.  Sharon

jane

Marilyn...sorry to hear of Gilbert's problems with Sarah.

Mary...sounds as if it was a good week in KY.

Darlene...it's getting into the mid 80s here already and that's too hot too soon for me.

Sharon...hope the nerve stim can be fixed for you.

Sue...enjoy Bill's visit!

Jeanne...I'd guess it's hot down your way, too.

GinnyAnn & Joy....hope you're both doing OK.

We're home from our Dubuque business appt and back into normal around the house clothes. Ray's gone out to the plumber's to order a new remote for our wall AC and then off to play golf.  I'm going to read on the back porch, if it's not too hot our there.

JeanneP

It is 91 deg here today and it is just noon. I don't think I am going to be out in the hot weather this summer like usual.  Had to go to grocery store and Dollar Tree and just had to get back home.  Will go out after 7pm tonight to library to pick up a movie.
In the mean time I am making some B and B fridge pickles. Love them on sandwiches.

Big storms last night stayed 10 miles north of us. We just got thunder and lightning.  More to come tomorrow.

The old body is really hurting today, so I'm a slug...on the back porch with my heating pad.

Tomorrow I go with Ray to U of Ia Dental for Oral Surgery to remove a bad wisdom tooth.  He's told them how much he bleeds at the slightest thing, so they are hopefully prepared.   I'll be glad when it's over and he's ok.

I'm also trying to get the patches for that WannaCry ransomware thing and not having much luck.  I downloaded it from the microsoft site for my 8.1 and Vista machines, but the "Searching for Updates" thing is running for hours on both machines.

I've posted at the microsoft community forum, but no suggestions yet.

jane

maryz

jane, sorry for your "creakies" today.  That's no fun!  My laptop updated last night.  I assume it has something to do with the "wannacry", but it didn't say specifically.

A brag for the bridge players:  We had good cards last night.  I bid 6NT, made 7.  I didn't think it wouldn't be high board, and sure enough another couple bid and made 7NT.  Still I was pleased with myself.  We came in 2nd with 58%, and won 0.8 MP.  Best evening for me, I think.

I got a haircut yesterday, and have a mani/pedi appointment tomorrow.  But that's all the irregular stuff scheduled for this week - just the usual swimming and Silver Sneakers classes.

Happy midMay, Buddies!

Jane is the patch for windows vista ? I can't download updates for defender...mabey I need the patch ?

SharonE

Mary, wonderful on the bridge. It always feels so good to make a slam and even more so when it's bid.

Jeanne, hot here today too.

Jane, hope Ray doesn't have a problem with his extraction.  If he takes Fish Oil, he should stop it before as it is a blood thinner.  Sorry the aches are back. I'm going to try to get that patch too. I have Win 10, so shouldn't be a problem. Isn't it wild that the 22 yo find the patch and it's so cheap.

I went back to the pain clinic today to have the guy tweak my controller program. Can't tell yet if it is working. He's going to try to get the pain Dr to push the removal off till Friday to give him more of a chance to work on it. We'll see.

I hope Sue is having a good visit with Bill.

Jocelyne, our granddaughter called last night and we had a wonderful chat.  She is 4 months along with baby #2 and so far doing fine. Over all the morning sickness.  Working on potty training with Harrison.  She loves her job and so does her husband, so guess they are staying in MN for some time.

I to Darlene, Ginny, & Joy.  Sharon

Ray just got home from his volunteering at the hospital.  He is slotted for Tuesdays. Nothing going on. I'm feeling tired today  :(  Ray is changing from long pants to shorts. I might be able to sit on the front deck for awhile.
