Joy thanks.  I am not into Lite beers, drink the craft beers with higher alcohol content. So I was ready for a walk.    One of my favorites comes from Flying Dog Brewery over your way in Frederick Md.

Jack,  I know that the craft beer industry is very popular.   I really don't like beer that much, except I do enjoy Rolling Rock when I eat crabs.  I prefer a sweet wine,  mostly like Sangria, but that doesn't go very well with crabs.     Last year, I went to a Chico de Mayo party with a friend, and that was my first Margarita.  And, it was good. 

Hope the sun is shining in Wheeling this morning.  Although the forecast is kind of "iffy".  So tired of this dreary weather.

Jean it would be great with the sail boats, after you take the video there is a selection of speeds, they would look like motor boats.

Jack, Grand Rapids has a lot of craft beer places.  I am not a beer drinker but do see articles about some of the companies.  One is Founders.  Some time ago a German relative wrote about going to a festival in Hamburg where there was a Founders booth.  He said he liked their beer.  I really think Germans like almost any beer!

We used to the the Furniture City and now we've added Beer City as a slogan.

Mary Ann   my granddaughter, 23, now lives near Plymouth Mich.   She is happy with the number of good locations and types of beer.  She goes with friends and only has a few, up early to go to work as an Engineer in the auto industry.

Jack, I'm glad to hear your granddaughter lives near Plymouth MI.  My recently deceased nephew lived in Plymouth for a while and I would drive there to stay a weekend with him and his wife.  This was before craft beers but I do understand they are very popular now.

Was doing some cleaning and Mimi let me know she wanted a walk.  I put on her collar, drove to the park, and found I had forgotten her leash.  Was going to go home for it, but decided to go to a usually quiet picnic site this time of day.   How lucky.  I came across 3 vans from Ohio with a group of youngsters.  They all wanted to pet her.  I asked if any afraid.  The adults said no problem.  Had Mimi jump from the suv, do a short run and then this.   Was better than a walk.

...ha ha, look how Mimi is lapping up the attention...how good she is around all those children...not all dogs would have tolerated that but, your Mimi seems to be thriving on it...

Mary Ann and Jackie, she loves people but gets excited around other dogs.  She really give me a lift.

Jack, after losing both Zoe and Jessie, Mimi is just what you needed.  She is a excellent addition to your life.

Animals are good for us.  I would not choose to have a cat or dog at this stage of my life, but I am the caretaker for my great-niece's cat.  I would miss him if he went with her and he would miss me for a while until he got used to other people.

Mary Ann  Its good they talked me out of a younger dog.  Mimi is a hand full and just hope I get her enough exercise.   She has learned to stop at just about every bench along the walking trail.   Know I am slowing down and legs get tired but am sure the daily walks are good for both of us.

Jack, the kids really enjoyed petting Mimi and her beautiful coat.

Jean I hit it lucky.    The group was from Ohio, about an hour away.  They had never been to Oglebay  so I told them where to take the kids.  I then drove to a Nature Center in the park to check and see if it was free, and if they still had a room with hand puppets.   I then went back and gave them the info.  Would have loved to see that group with the puppets, but Mimi would not have been permitted in.  Just beyond the nature center there is a small lake and playground.   Bet it will not be there last trip.

That was nice of you, Jack.  I bet the kids really enjoyed the hand puppets.

Up to the park twice Sunday.  Starting at 7PM  they had a free concert of a group doing some old timers that were favorites of my two.  I also liked the two pieces, and did a short video to show the group and the surroundings.

Jack,  what a great place for a concert like that.  I love those oldies.......".Little Darlin' by the Diamonds "    That group did a super job.

We have a little town park right in front of our building here and they are having "concerts"  the first Sat. of each month through the summer. But, the music is all this new stuff that the young ones like.   I think the September one will be a country group, so that should get some of the residents here out front to listen.   And, I think the one for August will be a little older group that, hopefully, will do some of the "oldies but goodies" type.

Looks like those concerts have a good crowd to show up.

Love the videos, Jack.  I am constantly amazed how well adjusted Mimi is, with every change in her life.  It really does give me a "warm heart" to know you both found someone so perfect for each other.  Can't get over her handling all the hands hugging & petting her, did not seem to mind at all if they rubbed her fur the wrong way.  I've been looking at the old songs of the '40s & '50s, never remember the names of the guys doing those tunes, but have watched their videos in recent years, singing the old ones.  I did buy some of the old CDs to play in the car & RV, and then bought a player to listen to them in the house.  Can't make me believe what they "sing" today can compare with the music of earlier years!!! I've got to look up my Vimeo password, won't let me leave a comment in there without.

Jack, thanks for the video.  I really enjoyed it, but there was one thing wrong--it wasn't long enough!

That was a entertaining group. Not youngsters. Got a good crowd. Tried spotting you but couldn't. Thought you would be at the back and could spot Mimi. Suppose you were taking the pictures.  Do they have concerts all summer.?
