Hi Emma !

Good to see you.  it has been a long time.

I have stopped posting here because
as I have said else where " I would rather
stay quiet and appear stupid, then open my
mouth and remove all doubt" ...

But it is very nice to see you again.  I hope
that you are well in this day of covid and
other negatives  etc....

Good morning, Sandy! I'm happy to see your post--it's been a while!  I hope all is going well with you and that you're able to get outside in the sunshine.  We have lots of sunshine which I love, but I'm trying to stay inside most of the time.  We have the corona virus nearby (not in our neighborhood, but close!).  I do take a daily walk downhill and back up and will continue doing that until the "all clear" notice goes out from our hospital.

I hope you are feeling well and that your family is too!  Have a nice day!

Sandy

Hi Sue...

Like most people today our age,  I
am  pretty much staying home and checking
out my Windows to the World which overlooks
the main street here in the city of Portland.

I feel very lucky to be able to see
so much going by which holds back
"cabin fever" setting in for me.

I am doing well.  My kids are around
to take care of my needs...  when and if I
need them.

I am wishing everyone a good Summer,
but it doesn't look like Covid is going
away any time soon..

So sad...

Best wishes to everyone tuning in.

Sandy, I don't remember if I told you that we lived in Brunswick, Maine, twice while Bob was a Navy pilot.  He was gone most of the time and I pretty much raised the boys alone several years.  We all rejoiced when he came home!

Hi everybody! So glad to see this site still alive. It has been awhile since I checked. I am still in Arizona CV-19 Hot BED unfortunately. I have been at home since 13 March. I wander out in my car just to drive the neighborhood. Neighbor buys groceries for me.

I am so upset with D. Trump. At this point I really think he is in full blown senility and should retire.

Good morning, Dig and every Buddy looking in this morning.  I've been up and dressed and have had breakfast.  I'll be going outside shortly for a walk down the hill and back up.  Going down is easy, but coming back up can be tough!

I'm planning a stay inside most of the day. I'm reading a series of books about Naval heroes in the 1800's and enjoying them.  Not much else going on here this morning except for my daily walk down hill.  I go 3 long blocks to the corner and back.  Coming back up is pretty tough, but I think it's good for me.

I hope Every Buddy looking in has nice weather and a happy day!
Sue

Hi! Have a good walk up and down the block. Stay cool and safe. It is 108 degrees here so we stay inside for the most part.

Any thought on politics? I am appalled that this dang virus has turned into a political affair. It is medical .

SCFSue

I do have thoughts about politics.  I won't burden you my usual rant about Trump and his cronies, but I am very concerned about the White House and what they are doing! I am afraid that Trump will be re-elected and we'll have another 4 years of mixed messages from Trump!

I will be glad to see the end of the Trump era!

Good Monday Afternoon from the rainy
and cool rocky coast of Maine.

It is real nice being cooler and
having some much needed rain.

I don't preach politics any longer,
but for now just expound on the need for
our country to get our government
back up and working..

IMHO, it is a tragedy that we have
fallen so far on the world stage,
if in fact we are even on the stage
any longer.

I think that the superior court
right now is trying to keep our laws
under control and are being less
political and more logical in the
way the way that they
are voting...  I suspect
that Roberts does not want
his court to go down in history
as being a part of the down fall
of the once great United States of
America.

Bless him for that.

It seems to me that Trump has
lost his mind.  And what a scarey
feeling that is.

It is one thing disagreeing
with someones politics,  but
agreeing with many that our
Presidents mental health is
in question (not for political
reasons) but for this Presidents
in ability to govern effectively .

Boy do I wish that we had George
Bush at the helm to complain about
because compaired to Trump, he was
a gem.

The good news is that we now
have now learned what a  having
a really bad president means.

For me it is frightening,
unbelievable and close to
terrifying to realize just
how much danger a bad
head of state can really be..

It is going to be hard for
us to make our country
respected once again on
the World Stage.
(If not impossible)

But mostly respected from
with in for the majority of
citizens who live here and
depend on decent leadership.

opps...  I did say a lot ...

Dig, did you get off Facebook?
We were friends once,  I thought.
but it looks like you haven't
participated for a very long time.

Hi Everyone..
I hope everyone stays
Covid_Free...

Good morning, Sandy and Every Buddy else looking in this morning.  It's a bright sunshiny day here in Auburn, Alabama.  I've had breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen and now want to get outside for my daily walk down hill and back up.  Going down is easy, but coming back up gets me puffing and panting!

We had lots of rain last night, but by the time I went to bed, the rain had stopped.  My shrubs and other flowers have grown like weeds.  I need to do some work outside and get at least my front sidewalk cleaned up.

In this morning's newspaper, there was an interesting article written by Donald Trump's niece.  She was very emphatic about her uncles disappointing and very ridiculous tweets.  I was surprised to see the article, but I'm expecting the Donald will reply with an ugly tweet!

I hope every one looking in has a nice day.

I am livid! I think the 3rd Reich has re-arisen. Our senile dottering President has sent armed Feds into Portland Oregon. They are kidnapping citizens and have arrested citizens in for who know what. Gas has been used on assemblers. The Oregon Governor want them OUT of his state.

Then when it comes to CV-19 the idiot has taken the gathering & reporting of info out of CDC hands and has given the job to a real estate friend of his. CORUPT.

I have emailed the WH several time with Zeig Heil!

Trump is America's HITLER

There I feel better!

Sandy

I agree Dig.

This is very frightening news  and
we are all pretty helpless to
make him stop.

I hope that you are happy and well
in spite of this very bad news.

Are you still living where you
were living in Tuscon?

I am not into politics UK nor US... so just have this one sentence to add...Thoughts that were going through our minds here in UK, when we first heard he was standing for US president was one thing, ( a joke, he will never get in, ) then the reality ( shock horror ) that he actually got in, was another...no, HE is NOT liked by us....Personally i find him dangerous - his facial expressions says it all - high and mighty - pompous...ok now i have said it...

Now as for injecting ones self with " disinfectant " let he be the first one to do it..

SANDY, I am still in Tucson same house since  1981

Vanilla, I thought the same thing when I heard he was running!

I have contacted both our Senators and my area Rep. on my thought about him. I think they agree.
Nothing more that I can do except when it is time to vote.

Trump swept Arizona in the last election, this time his poll numbers are way down. So there is hope

Dig,
I could open it:

"Trump not ready to commit to election
results if he loses"

IMHO,  he is a creep.  A dangerous Creep,
And this country is in serious trouble
unless we can vote him out with a
huge majority...

Who would have ever imagined
such  a despicable person
ending up as our President?

A lot of Presidents I didn't like,
but I was never afraid for myself and
our Country as a whole.

I just didn't like them.
George W was a hero,
next to the psychopath that
is bringing our country
down now.

Have a good week,  everyone.

Putting a bit of a humours slant into it, think you all remember this childhood song...Nellie The Elephant...well with putting your own play on words, I am sure you can come up with something, i know i have...Anyone up for a sing-song...

" Nellie the Elephant packed his Trunk and said goodbye to the White House...off he went with a Trumpety Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump..Nellie the Elephant packed his Trunk and trundled back to his other Five Homes? off he went with a Trumpety Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump."

Or you can stick with the original...

Nellie the Elephant packed his Trunk and said goodbye to the ( media ) circus
Off he went with a Trumpety Trump,
Trump, Trump, Trump..

Well just read that Trump wants to delay the election! Claims mail fraud will skew things. He can't do it. Voting is set in the Constitution and only act of Congress can change the date.

I think that his only goal is to
scare the hell out of everyone while
becoming the most notorious and reviled
President in History.

IMHO, no good is going to come of
this Presidency unless it is to make
sure that someone like him never
becomes President,  again.

Isolated, but healthy,  so far.

Media to be banned from Republican convention due to coronavirus restrictions(Trump officials say...)

In a modern first, the press will not be present when the GOP votes to renominate Donald Trump for president

"But this year the Republican party appears intent on repeating its nomination of Trump, whose dismal performance in handling the coronavirus pandemic has dragged his popularity to historic lows, with no cameras present, in subversion of the president's own instinct for spectacle and obsession with TV ratings."

Donald Trump claims Dr. Fauci wrong about US surges with COVID-19.

"Fauci had explained that differentiations between surging US infections and a sharp decrease seen across Europe could be explained by the different reactions to the virus. Fauci said most European countries shut their economies down by 95%, while the US only shut down its economy by half.

Trump countered: "We have more cases because we have tested far more than any other country, 60,000,000. If we tested less, there would be less cases. How did Italy, France & Spain do? Now Europe sadly has flare ups. Most of our governors worked hard & smart. We will come back STRONG!"

But Fauci's point accurately describes the US situation. While some states followed Centers for Disease Control guidelines when they started to re-open, many did not, leading to a surge in infections in many southern and western states, Fauci explained."

Is Trump's top cop, attorney general William Barr, a danger to democracy?

William Barr was hungry. "Mr Chairman, could we take a five-minute break?" the attorney general asked Jerry Nadler of the House of Representatives' judiciary committee. "No," retorted Nadler, his hearing almost done. Barr responded sardonically: "You're a real class act."  It was pure Barr: a proud, combative, unflappable and unapologetic partisan warrior in the loyal service of the White House.

"Because of his position as the attorney general, he has control over a lot of what's acceptable and what isn't under the law up until the point where the federal judiciary can stop him. It makes him very dangerous, especially when you're dealing with a president who has no regard for the constitution or the rule of law," said Tara Setmayer, a former Republican communications director on Capitol Hill."

There are already complaints here in Tucson that people have NOT had mail delivery for 2-3 days.  Trump's goon  messing it up and won't appear before committee until Sept.
