This little girl is on her way to
her first dance recital at the age of 4 or 5.
The photo was taken around 1940

Now which of our members are aged 84-85
I will start off our guessing procedure and go with our...
... Jane S..
Sorry, I did not mention: Please put your guesses here and ... wait to see who is right!
SHIRLEY's 85, too!
Jane S... i know but i can only pick one at a time, and you have the blonde hair...i guess i will be sat on the naughty step if i have gotten this wrong...
How about Joy? Hair color should be right?
Gladys was the one I remember always willing to dance...
Love this idea! Guess on, Shirley never had blond hair, that I do know. Can't think of anyone ever mentioning taking dancing lessons, but Jenny has a grand that does so maybe the nut didn't fall far from the tree??? Just thinking, Bubble....
Is Jenny old enough for that?
L💗VE this........as much as I like your theory, SHIRLEY, it can't be me, I wasn't born until 1947🥰🥰
I knew it could not be you either.....you were a Tom Boy🤣🤣
When does the revelation come?
I just had my 83rd birthday and I don't feel any older! However, I do know that I can't do everything I used to do. No guessing here as I am the same old SCFSue!
Have a nice day, Every Buddy.
Sue
I don't know who it could be,
Shirley or Gladys both sound good to me.
Sandy
Could it be Beverly?
Jenny, I thought the same thing..no tu tu for Shirley, maybe a set of guns on her hips :)
Hmmmm....not Bubble.... ???
Haha, Amy, that reminds me of my daughter's 5th birthday... all she wanted was "cowboy boots, guns & holster". Her father was heart broken. :tissue: She & the little neighbor girl rode stick horses everywhere they went, Roy Rogers was her idol.. and that lasted until first grade when she came from from school and mentioned "Tommy kissed me AGAIN" and her father nearly went into cardiac arrest!
Jenny, I did know you were too young. :P ;) Gladys I can picture, even though she was about as ornery as they come. I did enjoy hearing about her escapades. I can't think of anyone ever talking about dance lessons.....Sue, Phyllis, Joy, Jane.. bunch of us about the same age.
Now is the person still with us? That will help me guese.
I am of the right age . And a dancer from age four bit never had blond hair
Jackie ---
I love the phrase "i guess i will be sat on the naughty step".
Sue. Now all library's are closed and so no problem if your books past due. Think ours taking a month at least
MaryZ now I had that same problem over Christmas and New Years. They checked chest. Lungs etc. found nothing. Phlem pretty mins gone now but o still do the throat clearing. I think it's more of a nose clearing from allergies. Also dust in the house. My big heavy drapes need cleaning.
We are really having a heavy snow storm today. And so would not be going out anyway. Car buried again.
I'm guessing that it's JaneS.
Well the age fits me. I was a dancer but never had light hair. Now is the person still with us. That would help me.
NO ! Not me ! Joy
Once more I ask....When is the revelation?
dum de dum dum............Good question: is she still with us?
Not sure how old Bubble is, but I'm betting she had dark, curly hair as a little girl.
Tomorrow is another day. Did Jane EVER deny it???
Shirley...
... i dont recollect Jane S denying it is her, my gut instinct is still saying it is her...Marilyne, i see we are both in agreement...
Rammel...
...did you ever watch the tv programme Jo Frost ( Supernanny ) i believe she was the one who coined that phrase... the naughty step, naughty chair, naughty stall...
http://www.jofrost.com/naughty-chairspot-correct-way/
Shirley, I got Polio at age 2, so unfortunately it never could be me. But watching a talented ballet dancer friend of mine, I could wish...
OK, this has gone on long enough! It is JaneS. I was a little towhead when I was growing up. The dancing teacher lived right down the block from me with her mother and she wasn't married. But her sister was and lived on the other side of the river but visited a lot. She had a little girl who was born the same day I was and we became friends. One day Mary Louise, the teacher came out and said, "Honjane, I'm starting my dance classes next week and Yvonne is going to take lessons. Why don't you ask your Mom if you can join us." I was 4 and it took me about 30 seconds to make it home to ask. The result was that both my sister and I joined that class. I turned 5 right before the recital. I loved it and that was my first recital! There were more!
Jackie #1 and Marilyne #2. Great!
I hope someone else will post a "guess who?". Don't hesitate to ask for help if need be.
Meanwhile, here is the next one.
Who is this handsome young man?
Couple.jpg
I don't know who but I think I'm jealous of what they have.
That is Elvis in his U.S. Army uniform! I can't imagine what he did during the war! (perhaps singing for the troops?)!
Sue (BTW, I never cared much for Elvis and his music, but my youngest sister was one of those teens who kept his picture on her bedroom wall and always played his songs!).
Not too many men on our forum so i will go with Rammel to start us off...Whoever they are they both make - made, a very attractive couple..

Jackie,
Never saw that show and don't know if it was shown here. But the "content" of the saying seems like all of us should have heard it at one time or another. Will be checking that link now.
I'm not 100% sure but the lady's hairdo and the uniform both look like WWII. If that's Rammel, it would make him at least 9 years older than me. I don't think he's 92! But he's the only one participating in this panel. Maybe the uniform is from Korea. And that would only make him a couple years older than me.
I'm guessing RAMMEL, too!
Clue: Confirmation came that some of you met him...
Is that possibly Jack from WV?
Definitely not RAMMEL! He and I are the same age, and we were both in elementary school during WWII. Looks like Tyrone Power, but not likely he would have ever posted in S&F!
Cant quite work out if it is an army or airforce uniform, ( i will settle for Army ) but, i know Lloyd Hammond got drafted into the army, making the rank of " specialist," could it be him and Nancy...
Bubble, is this Don?
I'm going to withdraw my guess. I still think it looks like a WWII uniform and I'm revising my guess...
Is it Robby Iadelucca? (I know I misspelled his last name but you all know who I mean? I seem to remember reading that he had served in the air force during WWII. And I'm one who had the pleasure f meeting him at the Montreal Bash!
I think it is Robby.
Someone mentioned Jack Martin. The hair color is the same and I think the woman looks like Shirley; she was a very pretty woman.
Mary Ann
I am of course assuming these " Guess Who's " are all still posting on our S & F's site now...as i am not familiar with the names of Jack Martin nor Robby Ladelucca...Whoever they are they are a fine looking couple...
And the answer is...
https://www.seniorsandfriends.org/index.php?topic=786.msg171937#msg171937 (https://www.seniorsandfriends.org/index.php?topic=786.msg171937#msg171937)
I took a hard look because the eyes & brows look a lot like my oldest brother... didn't think of Robby. Great find, Bubble.... this is fun.
YAY! I got it right! I think of him often and I recently read his obituary. He was a very special person! He went to medical school in his 50s and became a psychologist so he could help people. I went back and looked at the mouth and eyes and that's when I changed my guess.
Jane S and Jenny, and i think Shirley went with him too..
... well done, go to the top of the class...
Please, send me the next "who is?" for posting!
Can't be me!!! ;D
Give a hint. Is he a movie star?
Has to be Italian both of them. Look at that hair. First thought of Jack. But not his wife. Bet the had beautiful children.
Jeanne P...
... Bubble has given us our answer, it was Robby...see her link above..
Who is?
who is.jpg
Bubble, can you give us a hint, is he past or present..S Net and or S & F's..
I will start this ball rolling, i am going with Jack WV...
No hint this early in the game!
Ok, i have made my early choice, Jack wv...I wonder if this person became a budding artist, or auctioneer maybe.....
Is it Glen?
I thought about him, Rick, and also Hal..... I think it looks a lot like Hal and don't know if I remember Glen Curtis well enough. He sure helped me a lot with the morphs & graphics. Too bad I forgot everything he taught and also don't have PSP that works. I bought several newer versions but without help (I am lost with written directions), I could never set up the work space. BUT, back to who this is, I think Hal had dimples, didn't he? Maybe YOU, Rick? ;)
Not many venturing to guess... Is every body still sleeping?
This photo was taken in a school room. I see the easel and the chalkboard in the background. I'm going to guess Lloyd??
im guessing Hal
I also think it is Jack.
And the answer is...
RAMMEL !
That was at home and I can vaguely remember hammering small colored wooden pegs (pre plastic era) into a pegboard surface. Also had fun with a wooden "Bill Ding" set. Those had in later years been made of plastic. Somewhere I still have some of the Bill Ding men. ---- Nostalgia ---
This is "Bill Ding". You stack and balance the Tumblers as you can.
Rick - I thought for sure that was a chalkboard, (or as we used to call it, a blackboard), in the background, but I can see it's just a wall. I remember that my brother had the Bill Ding set!! Those wooden men were no fun to step on if you were barefoot! ha ha They were always on the floor! It sure is a cute picture of you.
My SON played with a wooden peg board, spent hours pounding the pegs through & would turn it over & pound back the other way. Then he advanced to pounding nails in short pieces of 2x4 when we were building a house. Rick, you HAVE to be older than my son! He was born in 1960.... fess up, you are older than that, aren't you? ;)
Your " Bill Ding" reminds me of " Stickle Bricks " construction toy...they first launched in 1969..

Got your son beat by about 26 years. You didn't think you were old enough to be my mother, did you?
From your son's age\era we have "American Bricks". Could these be what Jackie calls " Stickle Bricks "? My younger son was the same age as your son - 1960
Haha, Rick, at one time I thought we were about the same age but numbers went haywire.... guess we are about the same age.... I was born in Jan of '35. My kids had Lincoln Logs & Tinker Toys.. the younger son (1963) had some metal put together toys, mind went blank.... and Hot Wheels were the rage. Their young bachelor uncle sent them all kinds of Hot Wheels track, etc for Christmas. When our kids were young and when I was young, we were lucky to get one good toy & few little things for Christmas, didn't get toys all the time like now. We didn't feel deprived. Different life/times.

Shirley - Rammel...
...metal put together toys may have been what we in UK called "Meccano," another construction toy very popular with young boys and their fathers....
Yes I remember Meccano...
Meccano is a model construction system created in 1898 by Frank Hornby in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The system consists of reusable metal strips, plates, angle girders, wheels, axles and gears, and plastic parts that are connected using nuts and bolts. It enables the building of working models and mechanical devices. Meccano maintains a manufacturing facility in Calais, France.[1] In 2013, the Meccano brand was acquired by the Canadian toy company Spin Master.
In 1913, a very similar construction set was introduced in the US under the brand name Erector. In 2000, Meccano bought the Erector brand and unified its presence on all continents.
I had one construction set that made it possible to build a house with windows, doors etc on a perforated platform, with metal rods and grooved colored tiles that slid between the rods. The green windows and doors were also grooved on their sides. I suppose it was better suited for girls?
you were a little cutie pie! and I missed that one big time!
just don't see toys now that challange children now .my brothers loved to build things. Many quite good. Can't think of the one now that is big all over. Seem to have stores and a building in newyork that have competitions . I liked to play with my kids log house that they had. Now all have IPads and iPhones they never put down.
I heard that the internet went down in York for awhile yesterday day. Bet that drove them mad. My tech.stuff is so slow along with wifi.will get slower now as they have added extra things for doing school work on
That was the name, Erector Set! My youngest son bought a big set one year when he was in college, think his friend had a garage sale. He had planned to leave it at our house until HE had a house, but we got transferred and had to get rid of everything. He didn't have a place to store his stuff so one of his buddies let him store a big trunk in his garage. Sadly, the friend's son got into things & don't think he ended up with much left of his collection. Your avatar doesn't show your dimples, Rick.... ;)
Bubble, my son's Erector Set was huge, so sorry he didn't get to keep it, must have been something he always wanted, to buy when grown up! I think his was a machine & not a house kit.
This has been fun. Next!
Who is the boy in front row with his twin?
Same boy on his father's knee -1938Photo_1938-.jpg
Hm, which male member do we know who has a twin sister...
Edited: MaryAnn has - had a brother Norman Tock but not sure if they were a twin...
Looks like in Europe because of the short pants.on boy.did not wear long until age 14. You are saying around early 1940 I would put them now around 90 years old.
Just can't think of the names . But one man here posted many photo of his father. He was in his 90 and past about 5 years back.
This is going to surprise me. Ray some thing was his name
Bubble. Where are you getting these photos from?

Rammel
Yes that is my guess.....
No, I'm struggling with his name, give me a second... lived in Australia or NZ?, wife's name Anne? He posted crazy/wild photos of every day things. He had the gluten problem... aw, can't think of his name. He posted photos when his daughter got married, he was all spiffy in tux, etc...His wife let us know when he died and explained how their tradition of painting/decorating the coffin was. He was originally from Denmark or Sweden? Can't think of his name, maybe on the oldest computer. Now will drive crazy.... Last name Gatlen? I know you remember him, Rick!!! Was it Jerry Van ???
Jerry Van Dalyn??? Aw, somebody help me! I know that's who it is. He sent me a bunch of photos that I put on a site so his wife & family could copy them after he died. This it was the old site I haven't used in years, they closed it down to post from, I think. Anyway, that's who I think it is... pretty sure, maybe, :'(
Shirley...
... oh dear, you will drive yourself crazy trying to think of his name, and as soon as you stop thinking of his name, you know it will come back to you..you already sound as if you are halfway there...
Shirley - I think you're right. Jerry van Dalen.
I remember him.
Beverly, I had him in the e-mail, name was Garrett Van Dalen... Jerry2.... but I couldn't find any of the many photos he sent me over the years, to post for him. Maybe I have them on a CD, but do not still have that site I posted from "back then". So is this right, Bubble?
I remember Jerry2. Very interesting fellow.
I could also be Roley, who posts in Soda Shoppe, and is a friend of Lloyd's? The time frame would be right, as I think he's about 84 or 85 now?
Oh, maybe I wasn't supposed to think outloud in here? Do y'all think it was Jerry that remember him? Wish I could find some of those photos, maybe you have others, Bubble?
Or maybe I'm WRONG? Moi? hahaha.... never! Could I have imagined him?
Makes us realize how many people have passed through Senior
Net and here doesn't it?. How many years has it been. Babies have grown up, gotten married and had babies.
If i remember correctly we had ourselves three Gerry's or Jerry's, one regularly posted in the "animals talking"folder where i communicated with him, plus Soda Shoppe, ( he had a dog, lost his dog, then got another dog ) then decided quite abruptly to leave our forum, but i dont think it is that Jerry you are all describing...
Jerry Van Dalyn??? Aw, somebody help me! I know that's who it is. (
[/quote]
Shirley, YES!!!! You guessed it! Jerry2, Jerry Van Dalen. Congratulation :)
Jerry2_and_Twin_1950.jpg
Jerry2 TheDude.jpg
Jerry2 & Anne.jpg
Now i have seen the photo, i think this is-was the Jerry I was describing who had a dog and posted in " dogs talking " when we had it set up a few years ago before our forum collapsed and re-started 4 years ago..
Aw, thank you, Bubble! He was a very special person, wasn't he? I don't think I ever saw the your last photo of them. I heard from Anne a few times after Jerry died, she was enjoying painting pictures and at that time, visiting with their daughter. I think there was an earthquake about that time, in their general area, and never heard from her again. Thanks for bringing them back! He still makes me smile, doesn't he just look ornery?
The Jerry with a dog was not this Jerry who was Dutch.
Seems i have been "corrected " over my theory of who i thought Jerry to be, that I have the wrong Jerry...
Dutch Jerry was known as Jerry2.
Who is...
X.jpg
What a pretty little girl & beautiful dress. Guessing the "standard" bench for children used by most photographers, same in my siblings photos as well as mine... so probable vintage 1930s. Not me, so rule that out! :-\
I don't know who it is but she's adorable!
I have a duess and a reason for it but im going to hold off for a bit
I think this beautiful little girl is Junee, our long time member from Australia?
I can think of quite a few blondes, too many to even guess. Still thinking. Love the challenge! I never saw a prettier dress.... and that sweet smile.
I a going to say it is Junee also. Just that look on her face tells me.
Not many pictures of us taken when young. Main one was when babies were very young . Always laying n a white bearskin rug naked. Mums favourite of me. Now wish I had it. Took more as we got much older.
JaneS what is your guess?
I still don't have a GOOD guess, but thinking of all blonds, Jane, Junee, JeanFL, don't think Jackie is old enough for the background, JeanneP? My youngest was born very blond & hair turned to light brown (compared with the other 2 black hair), so... Jean in FL? I give up. I'll stick with first thought.... Jane.... last guess. You can tell I am not too sure about this!
Shirley...
... i was a natural blonde child but i am sure this photo-this person will be a tad older than me...At this moment in time, i have no clues as to who this child is-was...Ok, i will hazard a wild guess, and for no particular reason," Jeanne Lee."
my guess was going to be junee because I think I saw this picture before. my second guess is BUBBLE herself but I think she said she was never blonde.
And the answer is.... JUNEE!
Congratulations, many winners this time.

Well-done all you bright sparks...
Yes you can almost see Junee ,specially in the eyes.beautiful
You were such a cutey Junee.
I was only guessing, we never met but by the "online" image she just HAD to be sweet and loved as a child.... and could have been quite a few of our little girls. Cutie pie, Junee! :cheer:
Junee - When I first looked at the picture, I was reminded of the photo of you on your Facebook page, in your World War II uniform. I knew right away that it was you! Both pics are beautiful.
Who is... ?

Bubble, I sent you a PM.

Who .jpg
Haha... I missed the post with Shirley's photo & thought you were talking about Little Junee... you surprised me, Bubble. Trying to remember when that was taken, for sure long ago. :2funny:
Are you guessing the new one?
I really have no idea who she is but she is-was very attractive..
First thought was "MUST be Bubble"... it just looks like you (okay, in a past life... like all of us)..... The eyes, I think. We'll see as time & guessers think..... Sorry, I am thinking allowed & that isn't the way to play the game. :-[
Bubble

Yes, it is Shirley!
I just saw the pic and would have made the same choice. She'll never be able to get away with a bank job.
Looking at Bubbles now avatar, the above photo could well be Bubble..plus the hair is still pushed back from the forehead..
I'll give you all one more day :) I am hoping for more participants: it is so much fun!
Bubble..
I love this, Bubble!
Bubble!
All wrong! No, this is a real lady...
Would you recognize her in this later photo?
Elise - Ginger.jpg
This is Eloise from Montreal, who organized the Canada bash.
I would never have guessed Eloise...hair colour change, brown eyes rather than the norm blue with white-blonde hair...although i see the shape of her face - features remains the same...
Bubble...
...if i remember rightly, Don ( Radioman ) met her not long before she passed away a few years back...I remember seeing the photo of the pair of them, i had remarked then on how very attractive she was..with her white hair-white blouse .
I was going to guess Bubble, also.
Joy
Aw, shucks..... guess it does look like Eloise now that you mention it, Bubble! ;) Hair has a way of turning white-white as the French get older, even young-old! Bubble, I would love to see a photo of you at about the same age, still think y'all might have looked a lot alike. We did correspond a number of times, she had her daughter translate some old papers from my ancestors, as her daughter was skilled with the mid 1850s French language. This is fun, Bubble, thanks for all your hard work.
Vanilla, Eloise never was blond with blue eyes! Yes, Don met her and even sang the 'Fiacre' song with her and the daughter. My daughter too met her in 2005 when she visited Montreal. Unfortunately I stayed in NC at that time and did not pursue up to Canada but exchanged mails with Eloise.
Shirley, I thought that photo of Eloise looked very much like my mother's when she was probably that same age. See for yourself...
Line.jpg
Unfortunately this photo did not age well :(
Bubble...
... i can see Eloise has dark eyes..I was a natural blonde as a child and had - still have blue eyes ;) which usually are associated with natural blonde hair...
I still have very dark black hair--unlike my 2 younger sisters who have both gone grey. Neither of them color their hair. The only explanation we have is that our great grandmother was 1/4 Cherokee Indian!
Sue
Your mother's photo and Eloise do look a lot alike, Bubble! Every feature (ears, nose, eyes & even mouth if both were opened or closed)... so much alike, both very pretty. Do you look like your mother at that age? I don't look like my mother at all, got Dad's genes.
Sue, I was so disappointed when 23 & Me said I am 100% northern European... and I don't have the native American blood my 3rd grade teacher said I probably had. We were studying the "American Melting Pot"... one girl with Irish parents, another English, etc... and since I knew mine were mostly French (we didn't talk about the half German gr-father during those war years)... my hair was blue/black, black eyes & short legs, so to make my heritage more interesting the teacher just mentioned that the French mingled with the Indians a lot"... and I always thought that was why I loved the woods & wildlife. Duh... so much for that theory~~
That I am sure is Shirley. So pretty. I think that I got my first hair cut in my 20s doing that cut. Mine was wavy and I could not get st right but liked it.
Soon as hair stylist gets back I make try for it that way again.
I had a School Mistress who looked just like the lady wearing the hat. I know its not her. Gosh she was strict.
Bubble - I agree. Your mother looked a lot like that picture of Eloise. I met Eloise and never would have guessed that was her!
Who is...?

Bubble I sent you a PM.
Bubble - Sending a PM to you.
I sent you a note also but it's lost someplace.
PM sent, Bubble!
I saw the PMs, :) Solution tomorrow... I'll leave you with the suspense ;D
I don't have a clue! Been sick the last 48 hours & brain not kicking in, but do not recognize the face at all. I'm thinking..... love the dimple in her chin. Since you are going to tell.... can I just make a guess before I get off the computer??? Please??? Is it Bubble? I haven't looked in before just now so just a first guess.... 2 days without any food & about half a 16 oz bottle of water, NO coffee, either.
Haven't checked in here for a few days so I haven't made a guess. Have to admit I recognize her from an old post on Photos! ;)
What, still no solution, Bubble? I know, I don't play the game well, do I? :-[ Best thing going these days!
The solution is coming Shirley!
Just that I am in the different time zone.
And that was a photo of..... JeanneP!
Angel, Marilyne, Beverly, Bravo! Congrats to you.

Sorry Denver, that was not Shirley :)
And Shirley, sorry that you are so miserable :( I hope today you are reviving a little. When I am that stomach sick and cannot eat for a few days, I try to have a real soft-boiled egg mixed with white creamed cheese. That is very little food, but nourishing.
JeanneP - A beautiful picture of you! How old were you when that photo was taken? US or UK?
Shirley - When your stomach is upset, follow the BRAT diet for a few days to get back on track. Bananas - Rice - Applesauce -Toast.
Marilyn
Was in U.k on 21st birthday.
Pretty soon if this goes on I will have that long hair again. Not used blow dryer for weeks. So not same style only shorter
oH forgot ,now salt and pepper.
I should see if bubble can put it as my photo under my name just to see if colour shows
Who Is...?

I just did not keep up with the men .now need a hint .was he senior net or here in s and f? Good looking young man.
Very pretty picture, Jeanne!
Bubble - Sending you a PM on the latest "Guess Who"?
Okay, mouse over the pic & it says 1950, the "brass" says US, but I don't recognize the cap. Will think about it tonight, first thought was Lloyd but he would not have been in the service in 1950. My rationalizing hasn't worked out so far... so... somebody else guess. :D
Bubble, I had a poached egg on soda crackers last night with a big chunk of butter and an egg sandwich on white toast with a piece of Oatnut bread & grape jam for breakfast. My appetite is back but can't hold much at one time. Tonight I had a small baked sweet potato with applesauce on the side (does that count, Marilyne?) and had some fruit ice made with orange juice & pulp and mashed bananas, yummy stuff, got it a little too sweet this time. Those Cara cara oranges were SO sweet this year. What sounds good is a big ole T-bone or rib eye steak with nothing but salt & pepper on it. One of these days..... Thanks for all the tips! What ever this was/is sure hasn't been as bad as the Asian flu I had 2 or 3 different versions of. From what I've read, too soon to check to see if I have the antibodies from the virus, but I don't want any of my kids coming in again not knowing if the virus lurks in my house. I'll see what the doctor thinks when I call him tomorrow (he told me to).
I know, I know (I think I know). Message on the way, Bubble! I sleep tonight.
Bubble, sent you a PM
We started off posting our answers publicly, all part of the fun, so i shall continue publicly until Bubble tells us - me not to..PM also on its way..my guess is, although i am probably way off the mark....

Hahaha.... that's who I thought as well, girls! He does have an ornery look in his eye, just right for the teasing he & Papa John did. We'll see, only Bubble knows. (Remember that show on the radio, "Only the Shadow knows".....)
June - Shirley...
... Tom Tock or Norman Tock, great minds think like..
This was NORM TOCK.
Angel, Beverly, Vanilla, Junee, Shirley, you are all wizards  but I suppose that was an easy one.
Marilyn, sorry, not Lloyd
Please, please, help me by forwarding old photos to my mail, so we can continue this!
I love the detective part of uncovering age or whatever from the photo. This is the most fun since being confined!!! Thank you, Bubble. I hope Mary Ann had a chance to watch this.
That was my thought but he really changed looks over the years. funny how some people do and yet other look just the same with wrinkles , gray hair and little heavier
I maybe wrong in my way of thinking, our hair may go greyer, and we may have older wrinkled facial skin, perhaps even the shape of our face changes but, we cant - do not change our facial expressions, and to me, those are our main giveaway signs of who we are when people see our younger versus present day photos..maybe that little twinkle in the eye, that same sideways grin, that same cheeky smile..
Jackie - I agree. And also, as they say "The eyes have it!".
I do think that men really change more than women. I see men who were so good lookin . Fantastic bodies. Great hair. And don't even recognize them. But with the married ones I do seem to recognize the wives.
Jeanne P...
...shame on you, are you still looking at male " fantastic bodies.." i gave that up long time ago... ;D
Guess who...
sorry, a bit blurred
Image7.jpg
Bubble, sent you a PM
Really stuck on this one. On my computer not sure is a man or women.
My guess is Beverly....
To help, here is the same person at an earlier age. Who is it?
baby.jpg
No guesses? I am disappointed :(
Been thinking, Bubble, but not a clue! Can't picture anyone in this group ever looking so serious! I will make a guess with no foundation for it except "serious" just clicked in and am thinking maybe it could be Jackie. The little shirt might have been worn by a baby in England, not that long ago & she is one of our younger girls. Is that not a thoughtful look with the curl on top? What a cutie.
Still looking but no idea. Does she still come into s and f? Such a serious look.
This is going to surprise us.
I haven't been here for a week but I'll guess Jackie, even though she guessed it was me! :)
Edit: I've changed my mind! (Can I do that?) I think it's Patricia/Angelface.
Oh dear, so for me its back to the drawing room, i guessed wrong when i thought it was our Beverly...or was this a red herring to put others off the scent..
I'm lurking & still think it's Jackie..... ;)
We have a winner!
Beverly, you are right, it is Patricia!
QQ_4315.gif
Shirley - Beverly sorry to disappoint you...it wasn't me..Beverly you was right to have changed your mind...
I have always thought of he a Angelface or just Angel . Don't remember ever seeing a photo under her name on here. Now from the photo you just put in I could never figure it to be Jackie. Putting it against her photo in now.
Who is...?
horse.jpg
Good luck!
Please, if you want this to continue, I'll need your help in posting me some identified photos! Thank you.
I am probably way off the mark here but I shall go with Lloyd Hammond...
Just one guess? :(
I guess you all need a hint.
Standing.jpg
Still wondering who the "horsey" guy is.... nice looking guy & LOVE that horse! Looks like a 1950s photo or maybe late '40s? Can't remember when guys started wearing the longer hair??? BUT, I still can't think of who it might be. Does not look like a western style saddle...
Will have to give thought to the young lady. What a nice full head of "fair" hair! Be back ....
Okay, who is the guy on that beautiful Arabian horse? And now, I have no guess about the girl, don't think her hair is dark enough to be Bubble... gonna give us a hint, Bubble?
The two photos are of the same person.
Patricia, you have eagle eyes!!
Shirley, that looks like a JC Higgins saddle on that Arab..
Now it can't be the same person unles there was a sex change done. The build of them about the same. Bubble is tricking us I think.
Ha ha ha :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:
I will end the suspense, Marilyne, you were right.
It's Amy! And Amy you did not give it away ;D and I did not trick you JeanneP!
Well i did say i was way off the mark and i could not have been any further...
I was going to guess Junee or Amy so I could say I was half right. Except that I was leaning toward Junee! Sorry Amy! :-[ :)
Amy mentioned riding horses, and having other farm animals, at some time in the past. So she was my logical choice! Fun game, I hope it continues.
It will continue if you all provide some photos.
My email is in my profile ( visible ONLY to our registered members.
You can also complete that item in your profile if you wish: a new private added item.
Oh, Amy, I'd have thought I died & gone to heaven to have a horse like that! I used to get to ride some of the horses stabled at the state fairgrounds not far from our house.... the exercise boys would let me ride the meanest ones. Sadly, I'm sure they made them mean the way they treated them, but I loved horses. By the way, was that a western style saddle? I decided to go riding one time when we lived in England, didn't even go around the block because their horses weren't used to neck reining or any of the riding like I grew up with. I grew up in horsey country and the fair brought in all kinds of horses (10 days), including the Tennessee Walkers, had quite a few of those the locals kept. Anyway, not many Arabians & they were always the "performers", how they could dance!. I think the long hair was why I didn't consider a girl!
Bubble, I think it was Rick that mentioned that I always looked the same, so no secret photos of me. Thanks, Amy, for sharing your secrets & thank you, Bubble for making us think!
Bubble, this was a hoot and had me laughing .
Shirley, that boy was so nice to ride . Sandz was broke Western, English and broke to drive. Such a sweet boy to work with ,no matter what you wanted to do with him. Our vet was so surprised at his demeanor as usually Arabs are high strung.
Yes, that was a JC Higgins saddle. A western ..one that fit your bum , so comfy to sit in.
Patricia, no need to be sorry...was a fun time!! :)
"Bubble, I think it was Rick that mentioned that I always looked the same, so no secret photos of me." - But I was wrong ???
Who Is...?
Doll.jpg
Bubble, I sent you a PM.
Bubble - sent you a PM
So far I don't have a clue! Cute little girl.
Only two guesses?... Come on, think! lol
I sent a PM :)
I am having trouble making the rounds in here this week. Can't imagine who this one is, still smiling when someone put her on the bench! My youngest kid always started crying when I sat him on the "stand" for photos, drove the photographers nuts trying to get one when he wasn't sobbing. At last one did as I asked and had one printed so I could prove he actually grew up with us. He did the same at barber shops so after taking him to several different ones, I gave up & cut their hair myself. Okay, back to guesses.... who has curly hair? One guess....Bubble???
Amy, please send again: I did not get it!
Bubble, new PM.
Bubble - I sent a PM.
what a suspense!
You are all curious to know who this cutie is? Well...
Guesses were:
Marilyne : JaneS
Angel: Jackie ? Phyllis? based on face shape
Amy: Bubble
Beverly : Jackie My guess is Jackie. The shoes and socks don't look like someone close to my age!
Who guessed it right? No one!
The photo was... Shirley!
Congratulations Shirley, you were the great puzzle :D
Shirley. You were really such a cutey. Now I was thinking Bubble.
Haha... I had not seen that photo since before I married so was pleased when my daughter sent a picture of it because my mother had given it to her long ago! After Rick said I was recognizable at any age/stage, I had to send to Bubble... and Rick didn't even guess~~~ Thank you all for the nice comments, my mother said that was my first dress with color, she kept us in white until that age (don't know how old). Okay, who next??? Thank you Bubble, for the fun.
Who is?...
beaty.jpg
That could be me (not really)--but I still have dark black hair at 83! My two younger sisters look like the other members of our family and my sisters have white hair. My great grandmother was descended from a Cherokee Indian and I look more like the Indian ancestor.
Sue
Bubble - I sent you a PM.
I think it's Bubble!
If you take a good look, then Google Karen Carpenter.... you'll see it has to be her! On the other hand, Karen Carpenter has her mouth open in nearly every photo so guess it isn't her. I do have one person in mind but will wait until more people guess.............SHE knows who it is....hahaha....
Another Beauty. I am terrible at guessing in this game. Going to try. My computer so messed up at the moment.
Please send PMs to Bubble so everyone gets a chance to play.
Patricia, I still have not learned the art of PMs.... I can reply if one is sent but don't know how to find it. I did send Bubble e-mail but didn't look like the address I usually use for her. I am not with it today. At first I thought it was me, I had that blue black hair before white.
Sue, my MIL had only a few gray in her black hair when she died in her 80s, not sure if she had any Native American. MY hair was not curly when I grew up, only slightly curly before 10.
Gotta run, Tiger is tired of waiting for her supper, either "feed me or let me out!"
Shirley, I did not get your mail/guess... I am waiting for it before giving the answer.
Shirley I sent you a PM
Since my internet is so swiftly off & on, I am going to give my pick right here. I can't figure how to do the PM except replay... and if I go to Yahoo to send another e-mail, I will lose the internet again. I've already had to "reload" half a dozen times & will again when I post.
MY 1st guess is Bubble.... 2nd guess is JeanneP: 3rd guess...haha... :2funny: :crazy2:
Guesses were:
Angelface: Bev
Marilyne: Bev
tomereader: bubble
Shirley: bubble, JeanneP, ...
Sorry, tomereader and Shirley but this
Beverly 79.png
Beverly!
Bravo to Patricia and Marilyne.]
Ah, so.... Beverly, love your dimples! Sideways you do look like Karen Carpenter except she had a longer jaw & bigger teeth. When you smile it shows all over your face, very pretty. I also picture Bubble like that, a tad ornery looking, too. ;) Love this game!
Beverly - Such a beautiful photo of you! I guessed correctly, because I had seen an old photo of you and Chape. Must have been on, Photos Old and New, or maybe on Facebook? Also, the picture you posted recently of your daughters arrival home from their Thailand trip - they look very much like you I thought. :)
Bubble - Where did you find that last picture? :) Another one from a loooooong time ago!
Marilyne - Thank you.
Shirley -Hmmmm! Karen Carpenter? Wish I could sing like her.
From old SN I think, Beverly. I was going to use it as a hint if there were no correct answers.
anyone sending me more photos of old timers as baby or teenager?
Who is...?
001.jpg
Bubble - Sending you a PM.
I'm also sending you a PM.
Trying to find how to send a pm to you on my iPad. Ne very. Used it before .
why not on a email, Jeanne? if you click on my picture, you will see " send a PM."
Will try that. Now ave we done this? Put a young photo of our mothers and see if people can find who is a match.. That would be fun.
I was doing ok at the start of the stay indoors but now beginning to get to me'specially if sun out.
Your area so hot. Is GS not in school?
It is still terribly hot here.
Schools are open but for shorter hours because of the heat.
Tomorrow for who is... :)
Bubble, I couldn't remember how I found that.... thanks for the reminder! No guess from me.
Who is...
Angel, Marilyne, Amy, you were too clever ;D
Shirley, I am disappointed... Did you not recognize Bubble? :2funny:
Is that really YOU, Bubble? I've guessed everyone with curly hair as you but this time I could not see hair well enough (blame it on new glasses again).... Should have, you do still have the same grin. Ornery looking little kid, weren't you? We would have been best friends, for sure!
Because my hair was so curly, my mom always kept that in braids with ribbons attached in the back.
Bubble - I was pretty sure it was you, because your nose, eyes and smile, look the same in your profile picture as in the childhood picture. You haven't changed!
Guess who...?
baby pg.jpg
Bubble
Now I can see the PM but on iPad I can only show so-P-bubble _. _ Need this
Such an adorable baby. I'd love to see a more recent photo of this S&F member before I take a guess?
Only as a solution, Marilyne ;)
JeanneP, I got your 3 PM!
I don't recognize the baby, but it sure is cute!
Sue
Wonder if Bogor girl
Bubble - look for a PM! I'm going to take a guess, although could be anyone? Just a feeling I have.
I have guesses but no solid clues so I'll sit this one out.
Got your PM Marilyne.
One more day and I'll post who...
I remember when my little girl got those first teeth in(in England) and the lady next door used to say, "Just look at those little toofey pegs". Never heard that expression before and my boys teeth didn't look like "toofey pegs", but this little girl's do! No guess but she sure looks like a happy person. To be honest, this is what I pictured Bubble looking like when little, could it be??? Would she pull a trick like that? Of course she would. ;D
and that baby is...
002.jpg
Do you all know now? :D
Shirley... how did yo do it?
Marilyne thought it was Patricia and JeanneP believed it was Aviv.
I still think I can see Aviv in that face. So do I get a star?..
You were a beauty . Not changed. Bet you now have all your teeth.
Shirley
Yes , still that saying in UK Toothy pegs. At least by the older folk remember how when they were babies and you would rub their gums. They would chomp down on your and would hurt.
I guessed right but didn't want to post as I didn't see that coming! I too did not think Bubble would post twice in a row!
hahaha... I do feel vindicated! That is exactly how I pictured you as a baby, Bubble "toofey pegs" and all. I dearly loved the girl that lived next door, the typically English expressions she would use. I was new to being a mother or even being around babies. You have made my day. And you still look the same, just as ornery and as much fun!
The baby picture was at 1y old, the one in school was in 2nd grade and the last one in high school.
Thanks for the lovely comments.
Who is... ?
8931- .jpg
Bubble, I don't think I've ever seen a person's face stay so much the same, not sure if in the eyes as much as just the whole expression. Your eyes are what the boys back in my day/school, called "bedroom eyes", very sexy, come hither look! I'm sure you have been "a force" your whole life, just sorry we never had the chance to get together in real life.
By the way, I finally figured how to send a PM.... click on your name & there it is!!! Before this I could only answer when I received one. DUH.... I sent you my guess for this latest beauty.
"bedroom eyes"??? I thought they showed a pure innocent soul! :2funny: You have no idea how naive I was until I went to college. That was the result of a very protected/solitary childhood.
An true anecdote: at 15 1/2, in US, I was asked by a teenager "how many party dress do you have? I looked blankly, and asked "what is a party dress"?
Maybe because of the polio, but I had never been to a party. Except for in novels, I had no idea what it was about! I believed it happened only in books or films, on a different plane!
Bubble, I sent you a PM.
Thought I had last one right away but think longer.notice hair dark but so light now.
Bubble. Now did you already have polio in that last photo?
Bubble - sending you a GUESS WHO? PM.
Quote from: JeanneP on May 26, 2020, 02:40:09 PMThought I had last one right away but think longer.notice hair dark but so light now.

I was two years old when I got it.
That was so young bubble. But I would think that you never remember not being any other way of being. I had two friends both in the teens and so was so hard for them to adjust. but they did. My friend when young was born Deaf and Mute from birth. She was like a regular person to us. Got to understand each other. My young brother at age 3 got meningitis and he would have been left that way but sadly he passed from it.
Sorry all. not a cheerful posting this morning. Should get busy now....
Bubble - I sent you a PM
Bubble. In sending you a PM it looks like it will not go through if just Type Bubble. so will try again using full Email address.
Jeanne, your PM did come through. It's OK - you just need to click on my photo here in the discussion and post PM under it.
Answers to the last 'Who is'
Shirley -Sandy
Angel - Sandy
Marilyne : Bubble - I think it's YOU!
Beverly: I'm going to guess Sandy.
JeanneP : Sharon
JeanneP : I think it is Shirley. She has a round face.
and the photo was.... SANDY! Most of you recognized her, BRAVO!
Unless you send me more photos, this will stop here: I only have recent ones and that would be too easy.
I was thinking of matching mothers and g mothers against our faces. To late for me as both have been on. Could maybe do teens . Boathouse and girlies against moms and dads. Lots don't match up.
Just a thought. I can even look at my face now against one 40 years back and not recognise. Sure getting older. Fact last 3 months showing. Hair a mess no bother to use make up. Dress up . I need to get out more.
Who is....?
Baby.jpg
I'm thinkin..... cutie pie.
I have no clue, but the baby is pretty cute!
Sue
Bubble, PM sent.
I seem to have a hard time recognising boys from girls in babies.at first with my girls I always dressed in blue . Still don't like pink. People would say . such a pretty baby boy . Use to make me cross. Both had real tight curle.
Jeanne, my twin aunts had this glow in the dark white hair by the time one twin married & had a baby.... and everyone would tell her what "a cute grandbaby that is"... made her so upset!
I looked closely at the print on the little dress/shirt, but to me looks like either could wear, especially if the little one had an older sister! ;) I bought t-shirts that either could wear & got passed down. I really don't have a clue, but love the mischievous, almost pixie look.
Bubble - I sent you a PM.
I keep buzzing through to see if we have a solution to the cutie.... reminds me of someone but I can't think who it might be. The grin never changed, but who is it????
I am stuck. It seems like now a lot of posters do not show a Avater. Still would be hard.Still trying. Think its a girl.
Shirley
I did that a while back. A lady came in the Dr. Office with a little girl about 3. so cute and so I said same thing. Is she your granddaughter, she is so pretty. Women not happy and said she is my daughter.I would say the women was at least 52. Fact the nurse told me she got pregnant at 49 years old. Don't think I could have done it. I had 2 grandchildren by time I was 46 and I could not handle them together for long.
Okay, she looks like Bubble............. ;D
Bubble, I withdraw my guess as the answer was given otherwise.
What was the answer, I've looked back & back but can't find it!
Shirley, the game is still open.
And not one name is coming to me. Maybe never put a recant Avatar for me to compare .Sometimes you can see their baby face still in there. Going to kick myself when I see who it is...
What a pretty little girl...
I am not sure who that is...
Yes that was me in the hat and
sun glasses many years ago in
Punta Gorda Florida..
Those were the days my friends
We thought they would never end......
As the old song goes...
Bubble you are beautiful !!!
Sandy
:knuppel2:
Jeanne P...
... i was made a grandmother at 37..
I will not keep you in suspense any longer ;D
Marilyne gave the right answer: THIS CUTE BABY IS BEVERLY. Congrats!
Yes Angel, you are a great detective!
Sarcasm Bubble?
Definitely not Angel. I would never have thought to search there, so it was brilliant in my eyes. I had to go check myself to know how/what you were asking - and then remain silent so as not to let the cat out ... lol
I have no more "who is" for now, so unless I receive photos we are at a dead end.
There could be the possibility of film stars or celebrities as children, but I am a big zero there, so... anyone volunteering to take over in that field is welcomed.
Thank you, Bubble, I really didn't think that was you but thought the face looked familiar. You were a cutie, Beverly.
My daughter is coming over with breakfast, she loves some kind of Mexican food from the QuikTrip or one of those stores. I've never tasted or even know what it's called, but offered to fix a pot of coffee to go with it & enough to fill her thermos for the road. She is going home tomorrow, besides coming over here every day she has been taking care of her 3 grands while Mom & Dad get more time to work from home. Their other grandmother comes tomorrow to spend the rest of the summer with them. Normally they would have the kids booked for various summer camps & such so everyone pitches in so the mothers & fathers can work (from home yet).
I'd better get me to bed, last night only got 3+ hours sleep and short nap today. I covered a lot of territory, got the rv roof taken care of, they didn't give me any trouble since their web site states "15-20 years no maintenance" with their new roof. Then I topped off the propane tank & gas tank, soon be ready for the summer. Next big job is getting the pool opened. It was miserable hot & humid today, bring on winter!
Guess: Who are they?
snbeauties-1.jpg
I believe that is Shirley in the dashing plaid suit 6th from the left?
Haha, right you are, Amy... I laughed my head off the first time I saw that and still funny! First time in my life I am taller than anyone else! That is Gladys I am holding on to and 4th from left is Ruth Ann Bice, I'm pretty sure. I recognize each but names not slipping out right now. Those were such fun days, never knew what we might see in here. Wonder who put that photo together, used to be quite a few that came up with the funnies.
Ginger Hendershot, Etta Sue Gann, ?, Ruth Ann Bice, ?, Shirley, Gladys, ?, and maybe Peaches? I never got involved with this but I remember those who did had a lot of fun with it!
I think that is Helena (?) in front of Gladys. Love seeing all these neat old pictures,
Joy
Joy - I think you're right about Helona.
Isn't the last on the right Rae?
Beverly, thanks for correcting my spelling. I didn't think "Helena" was right when I wrote it, but you are right. Helona was her name. Seems like she was from the same area as Callie ???
Joy
I remember when this came out, and while I'm not positive, I know Glen was the first one to start doing these before he taught others.
Bubble - It could be. I'm posting a picture of Rae in the "old friends" forum to compare.
yes, Helona was from Oklahoma City and we became best friends... along with Ginnie B. We went to several Bashes together, started the Okie Lunch Bunch with seniornetters from other parts of the state and loved to meet seniornetters for lunch when they came through OKC on I-35, I-40 or I-44. Junee and Whimsy once stayed a few days with Ginnie B and we had a great southern dinner together. Good memoris.
The one on the far right is Gladys!
Quote from: Denver on October 09, 2020, 03:18:50 PMThe one on the far right is Gladys!
no, she is 4th from the right. Is your photo completely opened?
Bubble - Thanks for mentioning the picture being "fully opened". I didn't notice the scroll bar and missed the last one. Could that be Whimzy?
Thank you, BUBBLE. My screen was not completely opened! The last lady on the far right does not look like Rae to me. I do not know who that lady might be.
Is the one on the far left wearing a hat, Gloria who used to live on Long Island?
JANE, the lady with the hat on the far left is Ginger.
Guess: Who are they?
The bus arrives.jpg
Thank you Rammel for "The bus arrives"
I see Shirley up top on the far right and Patricia waving on the bottom left . Great photo!
Great one! Names floating back but won't try to put them with the faces yet... I do see a Jakki, Glen Curtis, Jim from Virginia but later discovered he came from Jefferson City, MO & knew some of my cousins, Bunnie, Rick, Whimzy, Jenny, Patricia, Gladys, Helona, Ruth Ann, Doris, ... and I even went to look in my contacts for e-mail and Yahoo has combined family with Friends and seems to have eliminated the ones not used for years!!! Memories!!! Hope others can fill in the gaps...
Thank you, Rick, and you, Bubble, for posting!
On the lower tier, me, unknown, Whimsey, Helona. Pat Scott's dog is in by the driver, Pat S.? Glen is on the hood next to the alien. On top, Shirley to the far right, above Glen. Ginger on the hood above? Gladys in blue with both hands raised, Then MaryPage in light pink with Bunny in a darker pink.
I thought I saw Doris (from MO) but not her. Who is the lady right by my head? I think she was the one that did gorgeous painting with the computer.... for some reason I thought of Erma Bombeck before I could think of her name, but no clue why.
SHIRLEY, the lady to your left with the white hair, I believe is ?? Brown. For the life of me I can not come out with her name even though it is on the tip of my tongue 😛 After looking more at the picture...now I am not so sure! The good news is I recognize everyone, I just can not come out with the names😂
Isn't that Ardie right behind Pat Scott?
How lovely to see all te folk on the bus. Callie, I have such great memories of my short stay in Oklahoma . Ginnie B was the first person I met after my computer lessons. Just picked her message from "pen friends". She was living in Alabama (before Nancy was transferred to Oklahoma). Whimsy and I had been to a Bash in New Orleans, great time but many cancellations from people who would not fly after 9/11.
Travelling by car, I was able to see lots of countryside of USA.
Was so good to meet you Three again later in another place.
Well here again I am.
I see many faces from the past, including my own. Was interrupted as I am now in Aged Care and I am only 98. 😃
Gloria, so good to read your news. How is Regina. Have a photo of her retirement home and also that first painting she did. So pleased your sons looking in often.
Hope you are all safe from The Viras. I am isolated and so far no cases in this place. Long time since I have been out.
Junee, what a treat to see you tonight! Any time I see your name my mind goes to the beautiful parrots you showed, always thought it would be fantastic to see those birds right out my window! Also happy to see you are getting closer to that 100 mark! I hoped to go way beyond but not sure that will happen, we'll see. I am proud to know you and impressed you are still handling the computer. Now & then I consider floating mine down the river behind my house, but my kids bail me out and keep 'em running.
Jenny, was her name Emma Brown? Doesn't sound right.... Gloria, you did some computer painting at one time, didn't you? I'm off to bed. Hugs to all... Shirley
Love the "bus trip" and the folks that crowded into it. I remember Martex doing a lot of those in the Missouri folder. This one must have been done before I found SN so only know a few of them. Fun times then.
Thanks Bubble.
I believe you are thinking of India Brown.
Junee - Glad to see you here again. I see you on the bus!
Yes....We had India Brown. And we also had Emma (?) who did computer art. I've seen Emma on Facebook a few times.
The lady with the red hair and headband, far left, top row, is Delphine Bendzik.
Is the driver Bobbi with her little dog (January?).
I don't see Pat Scott here?? Actually, her bus was yellow and occupied by chickens! :)
What a great looking bunch of people. Having such fun. How they are missed. Time goes by so fast. Right now you would think the days would be dragging as we are all so locked up. We who can get out a little are so lucky. Thing Is I no long seem to enjoy having to go out. Walking into places and seeing everyone just rushing around and the Masks. I feel awful out. Hardly a smiling face to be seen. The workers in the stores are loosing patience with the way they have to work.
But more seem to need to listen to the medical so that we can get this thing over with.
Hi Junee.
It would be nice if, at the conclusion that someone would post both the bathing beauties and Glen's bus with all the correct names attached.
YES, YES, thank you, PATRICIA. It is India Brown I was trying to think of. I said she is behind Pat Scott....did not even look at the face of the driver. Of course that is not Pat driving.....it is Bobbi and her doggie, January.
Haha... anyone around that can do that??? At one time someone did have names attached but I don't have that copy.
I could do that if someone supplied the correct names in order on both graphics.
Patricia....
With PSP and copying the photo, it's simply a matter of reinputting the correct names. Bev? or Bubble?
After three snow dustings, this is what I woke up to this morning.
I don't know when the rest of you have the first lasting snowfall if ever. The white over the foothills is snow-filled clouds. Two weeks ago, we had colored leaves still on the trees. Normally our first snow is on Halloween or thereabouts. I hope this doesn't mean a longer or colder winter.

Patricia, we never got that much snow last year OR year before. Looks good to me & bet the grass & all greenery appreciates the moisture, sure would here! If you wanted to really be a good kid you'd send some on down! Thanks for the pics!
Shirley, I'm blowing as hard as I can!🌬️🌨️☃️

Sorry no. But maybe you can do it as text, left to right, top to bottom?
Please keep this discussion for "Who Is" and post the general photos in "photos Old and New".
Thank you.
Bubble, I'm sorry, I apologize. I was on my Kindle and thought it was all part of Photos. As for the Guess who photos, I did mean left to right and explained that I could download the photos and re-input the correct names in order if I had them. I was then wondering/asking if you or Bev had the correct list of names. I didn't expect either of you to do something for me that I could easily do myself. I don't communicate very well. Mea culpa.
I am sorry, I have no list and many I do not recognize, so I might very well make mistakes.

Bubble - Sending you a PM.
Wasn't my guess right, Bubble???
:tissue:
Shirley, Amy, Marilyne, You were right of course, Bravo! fun.gif
JeanneP.jpg
Hey, Jeanne, you are lookin' good (for an old broad!) :nanadance:  :cheer: :laff: :pineapple:  Seriously, you are looking good! Make that GREAT!
Shock. Jumped right out when I opened up .I thought the painting looked like my mum. I think maybe get that hair cut this week. Will last as I can't get in every month these days. Hate mask on and young lady same as she is cutting. Not as much talking.
Are you feeling well now bubble?
Shirley. Have you put motor home away for the year now.
Grandson as really settled in living in Manhatten KS. Bought a beautifully house. Will be Spring no before I see it. Are you close to that town?
Jeanne, my brother lived in Manhattan at one time, had a cousin that lived (and died)there so went to her funeral. It is a pretty good hike from Wichita to Manhattan but if you make it I will do my best to come meet you! My cousin was an RN, her husband taught at the college, my brother owned a photography studio. By then I will have a new car, the RV has been winterized but usable, just don't need the elephant unless being gone overnight. Wouldn't be able to stay long, but would be fun to meet. If you use Google maps, I am in NW Wichita & prefer to take the scenic drive to Manhattan, will make sure car nav system, Garmin & Magellan (what can I say, I have no sense of direction so trust me to all the GPS help I can get)...
Who is.jpg
Who is this?...
Bubble - sent you an email.
Think again, Marilyne :)
Bubble, I sent you a PM.
HMMMMM? I'm still thinking?
Love that curl in the "middle of her forehead"... but still thinking & thinker is not working too good yet. I think I've seen that person before, maybe not the photo but should recognize. Back to thinking.
Sending email..
I already received 5 guesses, all different :)
Keep trying! :)
I sent my guess to Bubble! Could it be....?
Bubble, another guess and another PM.
Me too :)
The end to the suspense is near...
Replied received, in alphabetical order:
Amy: Alpiner? MarsGal? Phyllis?
Angel : Jackie? Rutumi?
Marilyn : Amy? Patricia? Phyllis? JaneS?
Sandy: Shirley? Bubble?
Who is right???
Marilyn, Bravo, the fourth guess was "on the nail" LOL
Jane says: "I was a junior or senior in high school."
And it was a windy Spring day in central PA. That's why my skirt was blowing and I had a curl, "right down the middle of my forehead!" I tried my best to keep that hair off my face, to no avail! That was also my favorite skirt....brown, pink blue and white plaid with a pink sweater I really felt "spiffy" in that outfit! This was a fun one! Thanks Bubble!
The process of elimination, is the only reason I won this "Guess Who" contest! ;D Bubble let us guess as many times as we wanted, so I finally hit it right on the fourth guess! :D
I did guess in my head but NOT Jane! I do recall the vintage/style but you were much neater than I was, Janie, a darling teenager!
Fun, fun, Bubble.... thanks!
My mail is open for receiving more photos to offer here.
Please check your albums, your files and archives!
WHO IS?
Gloria DE.jpg
Boy! I don't have a clue! Is this a current member or a past member? When it's time for a hint that would be a good one.
Sandy made me aware that the photo does show
who it is.
So I'll give the answer. This is GloriaDe
Bravo Amy and Denver who both gave the right answer.
Good for you Marilyn and Sharon for trying.
Thank you Junee for providing the photo.

Hahaha... can't think of anyone THAT HOLY in this group! :2funny: ME??? :2funny:
Shirley, your nose is gonna grooooooooooooow . :2funny:
Is that YOU, Amy? :2funny: I'm not trying to ruin the fun, Bubble, I'm still working on the last one. Trying to figure where/how it was showing who it was. My brain has to go through a whole process and still comes up empty! I'm pleading COVID FOG....... :-[
After what SHIRLEY said, I'm thinking it must be someone who has done a bit of acting in the past? I have a thought but I'm going to hold it for a bit and think about it.
Sorry if I misled some of you. This is a photo-shopped photo of a member. I don't receive new shots for guessing, so I work on those that I have, and "hide" them in a different setting.
I kind of figured that out Bubble about the Photoshop.
send me your guess, Tomereader.
Don't have a guess, BUbble. Just figured it was photoshopped. Wish I did have a guess. But I'm not too familiar with the faces of those going back before I started in S&F.
Good day everyone. I am sad to read about Gloria and hope to hear some good news about her soon.
Jenny: We drove past your house this afternoon. You weren't outdoors and I can tell you that I walk as fast as I can from the car to anything indoors. :D One grandson played hockey outdoors in Minnesota this week - the temperature was MINUS 33 degrees F. I am so glad I didn't have to stand outdoors for that one. I spent many hours ferrying kids to hockey - yes, there is a thing called a Hockey Mom. It is a tough job. Also, do not leave your car running when you stop for anything - car thefts here are up 85%.
Maple Bacon seasoning - where do you find it?
Here, I am putting aside about an hour a day trying to sew another quilt. A long time ago, I cut batik fabric into rectangles and they have been sitting there waiting for me to finally sew them together. Work in progress.
We also have spent a lot of time at the VA hospital - where only one relative could go in with Don - he is better. One son is in charge of the communication so he listens to the docs and nurse. Thankful to report that that episode is over and life is back to almost normal here. We keep on - keeping on.
Patricia: I wonder if you can find a driver - perhaps share with a few others who could use the help too. Take care.
Take care everyone!

you do know this one for sure.
I have hazarded a guess (or two) in my PM to you.
I read that :)
I'll soon solve it for all :)

Marilyn March18.png
I should have known!
You could not imagine her in that costume? lol
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I didn't recognize you, Marilyn! I was pretty sure it was somebody not exactly suited to the uniform! :2funny: Teasing, Marilyn! Good job disguising her, Bubble.

Made of Gold.jpg
I'm pretty sure I know both of them but their names escape me. I know some facts about them...like his profession and where they each live and what they did together but no names come to mind. They were both very active.
Bubble, I sent you a "sort of" guess!
I know less than you Jane S...I recognise both faces but do not have any names for either of them...but they certainly make a fine looking couple...i hope you guessed right...
I got your guess Jane, asked you to look more carefully... ;)
I'll wait for more answers before posting the solution.
Please send answers by mail or PM!
I sent you a couple of PM's, Bubble. The woman had something to do with a running joke about chickens, didn't she? Pretty sure my guess about the man is right. But, I could be wrong. ;D
I got your PM Phyllis. You will have to remind me of those chickens.
I can't help you, Bubble, because I don't remember. ;D That was sooooo long ago and I can't even remember yesterday.
I sent you a guess, Bubble, but not at all sure if I'm right. I think I know, maybe, well..... :dontknow:
Bubble - I sent you a PM.
All PM got a reply

JaneS
I think her name is Gladys and he's a Doctor. Am I close?
Shirley
I think this photo was before I knew them, but think it's Robbie & Gladys.
Angelface
Robbie is the gentleman? I'm still working on the lady
was the woman with Robbie, Marlyn?
phyllis
I think the man is Robby Idaluka. I don't recognize the woman.
Marilyn
My guess is Robbie and Eloise?
Sandy
the mans name was Robby ... he was a big hit
I know the women because she wrote a book and I did the
book cover for her (photo)
Denver
I know for sure it is Robby....
The lady I definitely recognize but her name escapes me
and the answer is...
Robby Iadeluca & Marilyn Freeman signing hers as Malryn.
Robby was the leader of the Story of Civilisation and Mal was directing the WREX writing discussion. She also had a poetry magazine online.
Thank you all for your participation. I see you have vivid memories of Robby :)
He was a colorful likeable personality. I met him and Mal in Durham in 2005. Mal had polio as a child and was in a wheelchair. She wrote many books, shared by chapters on WREX but only had one self-published.
I didn't know much about Mal except there was a Marilyn that spelled her name differently..but not all the time different. My early years of Senior Net was a haze of trying to learn PSP with lots of help. As Cas got worse my time on the computer got less, but I do recall loving all the different means of creating & appreciating what others could do. The frame on this photo of Robby & Mal is spectacular, Bubble, you are a Master!
Now I remember Mal. She was a very independent person, as I recall. I remember her telling of riding in her wheelchair along the roadway near where she lived with all of the traffic and it gave me the shudders to think of it.
Thank you, BUBBLE. I have thought and thought to come up with Marilyn's name.....I remembered pretty much everything about her, but the name escaped me. These WHO IS THIS, are so much fun.
I knew that was Robby but I just couldn't come up with his name. I think I read somewhere that when he was in his 50s he decided that what he was doing with his life wasn't what he wanted to be doing so he quit his job, went back to school and became a psychiatrist! This just blew my mind! And I did like watching him dance with gladys at the bashes! It made me wish I knew how to dance. They were smoooooth!!
I, too, remember Robby and Gladys dancing at the bash, JANE. They were a joy to watch. Robby was a very interesting man and we enjoyed meeting him.
Every time I think about elevators stopping with occupants in side, I also think of the PA Bash‼️
