I just got a current video of my home town in UK. Rochdale. showing the running of their newer Metro System and Trams. I havn't seen them yet.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2U1LlmrjO0
JeanneP

FlaJean

I took the whole ride JeanneP.  You have a nice looking hometown.

Mary Ann

I watched the whole thing, too, Jeanne and Jean.  A very interesting ride.  We don't have vehicles like that in my city and it's too bad.

Mary Ann

JeanneP I enjoyed the ride.  It is much like the T in Pittsburgh.  Several times I have driven to a station outside town to take a ride and think of the days when Trolleys were the way to travel.  Years back I worked in downtown Pittsburgh and very few drove, but rode the trolleys.  They are all gone, we have a trolley museum in Washington Pa and possible to take a short ride.

Did you go in it as far as showing the new Metro Trains. Beautiful .Almost like the bullet trains. When there I worked in the City of Manchester and it took me ages to get to work. Now could do it in10 min. I have to get back over and see them.  It comes up at the end of the video.
Also what makes it good is in UK over 60s  free life Passes and can use public transportation of all kinds between 9am and 6pm

Jeanne, thanks for posting this video.  The ride was so very interesting and the country side is beautiful there.  I enjoyed riding along with the driver!

Sue

Radioman34

What a thoroughly enjoyable excursion that was!

JeanneP

That ride looks like a long way when really Rochdale is less than 8 miles from Milnrow. Then I it circle back. It's the same going into Manchester the big city. Only 11 miles. One doesn't need to on a car in the whole area. Lots don't.

Jeanne, I enjoyed the ride Thanks

Sato...
...happy to see you, and that you have made a posting ( with the help of your wife )...
...isn't it wonderful that no matter what country we live in, the one thing we find that we all come together on, is our love for colour, for our flowers, plants and trees...This is that time of year when all things that once seemed to be dead, Spring alive again for our eyes to enjoy...

Sato, it is so good to see your post and your wife's wonderful hotography.  You did well with the video of those beautiful flowers.  Thank Takoko for us; she is a great photographer.

Mary Ann

Sato, so good you were able to post the beautiful flowers and I took a look at several of the slideshows.

FlaJean

Sato, really enjoyed that video.  So good to see you posting. 🎶🎶🎶

Sato, your photos of lovely spring flowers are wonderful--and the music you selected and played really enhanced the images.

Thank you very much!
Sue

Shirley

Another welcome back, Sato, and many thanks for both of you for sharing the wonderful photos.  Your wife has the eyes of an artist for composing the photos, something I envy.  Good to see you in action again and hope your health continues to improve.  Must ask if you have any contact with Sachiko, she has not been here for a long time.  Thank you from Kansas, USA.... Shirley

Vanilla-Jackie

Shirley...
...I was thinking the same thing, was also going to ask the same question...Sachiko has been missed...

Sato

Many thanks for all messages from you.  As for Sachiko, I have the same question as yours.  She now lives in Hiroshima, far from Yokohama.
Photos and Videos are my Hobbies. (S.Sato)

Shirley

Thanks for that bit of information, Sato.  She had such a beautiful garden at her house, so sorry she moved, but hope she is well and happy.  You both opened my eyes to the "real" Japan, thank you for that.

Yard work is almost finished, so had a few coffee and put a few clips in a short video.  They are a few of my walks with Mimi.  Believe I enjoy as much as she does.

FlaJean

Jack, enjoyed your clips of Mimi.  She sure loves those walks.

Mary Ann

Jack, I'm waiting for Mimi to "tiptoe through the tulips".  She is a most enthusiastic walker!  I like to see her with the kids because I know she's such a gentle dog.

Mary Ann

jackwv

Jean and Mary Ann, she loves her walks, and I always share the joy.   I had to quit using Tiptoe, Vimeo and Facebook sometimes remove the sound if music is licensed.

SCFSue

Jack, great pictures of Mimi and her friends at the park!  Thanks for sharing.

Sue

FlaJean

Larry has been busy taking photos.  Thought I would make a slideshow of a few of them.

Mary Ann

Jean, I was surprised to find some birds that we have up here in Michigan - especially a cowbird.  I'm glad Larry put up your bird feeder again, even if all of the birds were not at the feeders.

Mary Ann

jackwv

Jean that was lovely, and Larry continues to do good work.  Such a variety!

FlaJean

Thanks Mary Ann and Jack.  I finally got my eyeglass prescription after the cataract operations and should get my glasses in about a week.  I got some readers from Walmart for $5.95 that have enabled me to read and work on the computer.  It’s good that you have Mimi, Jack.  She keeps you going, i’m Sure.

A new neighbor moved in next door.  A young woman from Wisconsin with two English Bulldogs.  Said she was tired of the cold weather.  I think she is hoping her boyfriend will decide to join her.

Shirley

What a nice time in here tonight.... thanks to Jack, Jean & Larry.  Great shows and many thanks!

I think we have about half of the birds in your videos, Jean, but the more colorful are not here.  Is that the eastern or western bluebird in your area, Jean?  Looks like the ones we saw in MO.  I saw a mountain bluebird in CO one time (only) and did get a photo of it.  We used to see magpies in the campground but have not for quite a few years. Lots & lots of hummingbirds in CO all the time, they migrate through here.
