Marilyn, I had the same thing and saw this below the frame so clicked on it. I guess I'm happy with what I get, which is better than nothing. There are two ships on the river right now.
Joy and Mary Ann - I took a quick look at all the webcams this morning, and I see that the Marine City cam, is not working for me. A message comes up that says, "This live-stream recording is not working". (Duh, I can see that! ha ha) I clicked on the YouTube cam for M City, and it's okay, but I prefer the original one. All the cams at and around Duluth, are working for me, as is the one at The Soo.
Mary Ann - I would love the Strawberry Farm. Strawberries used to be my favorite fruit, but as you said, they are now "mass produced", and are too large, with a crunchy texture, and absolutely no taste whatsoever. We live about 20 miles from the Driscoll Strawberry headquarters, in Watsonville, and of course there are acres of the original old berry fields there. You can drive there and buy the old style berries from fruit stands along the highway.
Jackie - We haven't heard from you this morning. I hope everything is running smoothy, as far as the arrangements for the funeral are concerned, and that Toby's new family, is working out well for him?
jane, sorry Ray has had so many difficulties. I'm glad you had family there to help. Hope he continues to improve. AND that you're getting the rest YOU need. Remember, care-givers need care, too.
Sharon, sorry you had a sleep-interrupted night. And that your "me" time is so fraught with problems instead of pampering. Maybe you should schedule a massage or a mani/pedi.
Marilyn, hope your baby improves soon.
Darlene, we're up to the mid80s already, so we're having some summer days, too. But I well know how blistering hot it can get in Texas, and I'm sure it's gotten worse over the years. Keep the a/c running!
Sue, hope you have some good cards and a not-too-bad lunch.
Nothing going on around here this week, except probably a haircut on Thursday. Hugs to all the Buddies!
Hi to everyone. Marilyn, hope the treatments help Freckle. When our furbabies have a problem, it upset us so much--I know.
Jane, hope Ray is improving.
Sue, it sounds like you had a nice Easter. Although we didn't see anyone other than at SS & church, we had a nice day.
Thanks for the good wishes for my me days! Unfortunately, the cell phone I took in to be repaired still isn't functioning, so I have to take it back in in a bit.
I just got off the phone from calling our newspaper to cancel it. It was just way too expensive for what we got and didn't have balanced news. I must have had to say "CANCEL IT!" 15 times before she finally agreed. She kept lowering the price a little and what not. I had a hard time not asking her what part of
Cancel it!" she didn't understand, but I presume she was under orders to pull out all the stops. I try not to be rude to people like that, but it was hard. Well, I better feed the baby and then take the cell phone in. Have a good day everyone. Sharon
Good Morning from a soggy central Oklahoma,
If it continues to rain like the forecasters say - dils and I will have to reschedule the plant shopping trip.
Gloria, re: your dump cake: do you mix melted butter with the cake mix and "drop" it on top of the pie filling or spread the dry cake mix over the pie filling and then drizzle the melted butter over it? My mother did it that way and my other recipe mixes the butter/cake mix - and then tops it with slivered almonds. I think this looks better - but Mother's easy way tastes just as good.
Have you tried apple pie filling with Spice cake mix? Yummy in the fall and winter.
A friend wanted to meet for lunch "some time soon" so I invited her to come today for Easter left-overs - and she accepted. I always keep a bag of slider sandwiches in the freezer so will have those along with the pasta salad and chocolate dessert. Even had some pickles and carrots left from the relish tray. What a deal! Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere an Enjoyable Day.[/size]
She certainly is Patricia. She is a very special dog.
Joan, that's good to hear.
Joy, I keep getting a notice that "this app will not work on this PC" but I get it after I have been on a program - more than one program. I've never downloaded an app and I don't know what it means, since it has just worked. I'll get Tom into the act when he has time.
