Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Most pop music becomes irrelevant after 50 years, except for a few exceptions, like >>> Music from Broadway musicals, a few songs from top entertainers like The Beatles or Sinatra, etc., and a few from good standard pop composers like Hoagy Carmichael, Johnny Mercer, etc. Just my opinion, but as generations grow old and die, the music they loved dies with them.

I too have chosen cremation. In fact, it is all paid for. I did it with a member of a funeral home and my daughter was present. Price $1200 cremation-vs $9000 burial. Also my ashes will be at a Veterans Cemetary nearby. So I have left NO hassle for the family.

Good morning, I'm late checking in as meet and greets, plus morning chores, ran long. Phyllis, I'm sorry to hear about your house and hope it all gets resolved soon. That must have been a shock when it happened, I can't even imagine.
Calle, that is such exciting news and welcome to Cooper David! I love that name and that family names are contained on through families. Congratulations to Carson and Cooper's mom.
Thanks, Jane, for helping and enjoy visiting the Oklahoma Amish store. The only ones close to that locally, are two settlements in Big Delta that have roadside stalls, Old Believers, Russian, and Mennonites, both sects have several farms in the area.
Amy, it's nice to see you posting. Jane said it best, we miss you when we don't hear, but hope you take care of yourself too when you're caring for others.

Despite the title I don't think it had much to do with teenagers. According to Wikipedia:
Wirtz is Mark Wirtz, the record producer behind the project. Apparently a stage show was actually produced and performed in 2017, but there doesn't seem to be any video of it on YouTube. Maybe people forgot about it after 50 years.
QuoteThe basic concept of A Teenage Opera was a series of sketches featuring different characters who lived in a fantasy village. These stories were to be told by a young man to a young girl. Wirtz intended the final project to be animated and later compared it to the Yellow Submarine by the Beatles.

Callie - Good news is always welcome here , and the arrival of Cooper David, is especially good! I'm sure the entire family is excited, and for good reason! Hope you have a chance to see him soon.
The name David, is prominent in my family also. My father was David Edwin, but always went by his middle name, and was called Eddie. My brother was David Edwin, Jr, and went by David. One of his sons has David as a middle name. We planned to name our son, Bradley David, but instead went with Allyn, which is my husband's name. I like to see names stay within the family. My youngest daughter is called Sandy, but her real first name is Mary . . . named after great-grandmothers on both sides.

Phyllis, I am happy to hear that you and David are okay, and hope that the repairs/restoration don't drag on too long.
It is another quiet day today with some off and on rain this morning. It is staying cloudy and in the mid-60s today.

Cottoncandy, - I have selected cremation. One good reason (IMHO) is it takes up less space. Also the ultimate location of remains is more selectable. For me, cremation allowed for all of my immediate family to be put in the family plot (actually in one grave plot). There would not be room for that many caskets.
