Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Good Morning! As of yesterday afternoon...I'm a Great Grandmother for the first time!!! Cooper David was born at 2:24 p.m. Father is "Sir Carson", as I've called him on here. Cooper weighed 7 lbs, 15 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is the 5th generation to be named David - although my husband was the only one who was/is called that. Cooper's parents and the grandparents live about a 40 mile drive away. I'm guessing I'll meet him when uncle/aunt, who live across town from me, go out to see him.
Supposed to be in the 90's for temperature today. The weather can't make up its mind; it's a wonder we don't have pneumonia!!!

Phyllis, lots of trees falling on houses across Oklahoma in the past two weeks. So sorry you're having to deal with that, too.
Enjoy your day, Everyfriend.

Michael, I think this was ahead of its time? Many years later, "High School Musical" was produced and was a huge hit with the teen age crowd and a big moneymaker. Looks like they might have been musically similar? Too late for that kind entertainment now . . . times and tastes have changed.

I can't seem to generate an interest in either of my two new gift books, so I'm going to put them aside for a while, and find other things to read. I haven't decided what, but I may take a short drive to the library this afternoon, and see what's new (or old) in LARGE print.
A few weeks ago, I watched a good older movie from 1989 . . . Field Of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner, James Earle Jones, Burt Lancaster and others. I highly recommend it to everyone here, even if you saw it back when It was in theaters. The theme will mean much more to you now that you're 35 years older than you were the last time you saw it! It's a "feel good" movie with a unique storyline . . . a mixture of fantasy and reality. I had forgotten about it, but now that I've rediscovered it, I hope others will also. The color has faded over the years, so the cornfield and the baseball diamond aren't as bright as they were when the movie was new, but that doesn't detract from the magical story. It's playing for free, on Amazon Prime.

Sorry I have been missing but have been dealing with a big problem. On last Tues. evening a large tree fell on my house. It did a fair amount of damage to the roof but no injuries to David or me. Right now I am dealing with the insurance co. and other local repair and restoration companies who are helping me to restore my house. It is a headache but everyone is being very helpful and accommodating and it will just take time to get everything done. I'll come in here when I can. Meanwhile,
Take care, All.
Take care, All.

Good Morning Everyfriend and a special "Good Morning AMY!! Thanks for letting us know what's keeping you busy! We all wish you better times! Keep on keeping on and know that if you don't make it in here, we'll miss you!
Today will be a busy day here. Emma spent the night and I think she stayed up a bit later than usual and now she's catching up!
I'll be out for my daily walk soon and Cindy said something about a visit to the Pennsylvania Dutch (Amish) store later today. I guess we shall see!
I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow! Make it your own in every way and don't forget to share it with us!
