Good morning
Chilly one here with temp at 36°. Busy day ahead..picking up a few things in town then home to bake. One way to heat the house up.
Jane, so good to see you!!
Patricia, the birds are fun to watch. Crow does try to take a bath in the container but he is just too big, perect though for the Thrush and smaller birds.
Better shake a leg and get at it.
Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning! Good Afternoon! Good Evening and Good Night!
I was a bit busy today and I didn't make it in here so this is for the whole day! I didn't have Cooper today and Frankie didn't stop by. Cathy came by on her way to WM and she picked up a couple things for me. I don't have a yen to go shopping any more. I still like to go to the Farmers Market on Wednesdays but that's different.
I see you've all been busy as can be! You do what you do and then it's done! I kind of wish we lived a bit nearer to one another so we could wave or stop in a say "Hi"!
Tomorrow will be a busy day. Cooper will be here a bit before 6 and he'll need his breakfast and a walk. Then the plumber is coming around 8 to see if he can fix my seat in the bathroom! Then I have to start getting ready for the Saturday Cleaning ladies! Lots to think of tomorrow. And I put my trash out tonight so that can will have to be brought back in after they do their thing! Busy day tomorrow.
I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a great day tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by and share it with us. We love to hear from you! I did love reading the messages today. I laughed at some of them~ Good night Everyfriend!

Last post by patricia19 - September 11, 2025, 01:37:08 PMGood morning, 51 on a drizzly, cooler day, with a dense fog advisory. I think it may be 2026 before we see 60 again. All morning routines finished, coffee's made and Farrah fed.
My Amazon order came in yesterday which included, a 2026 planner which I will fill in the necessary bits after I return from a couple of needed errands. The other bits and pieces were simply some spices and bath items.
It's nice to see both Jane and Phyllis posting today. And Rick and Amy, your running joke was today's breakfast. Luckily, no crows around here, the ravens are enough, they'll rob you blind as it is. Winter ice fishermen can have their line and catch snatched and find their pickup back ravaged on their return.
Fall is definitely on it's last dregs here, as they're talking about snow flurries possible on the second week of October. The weather people are saying be ready for a long cold arctic winter and the farmer's almanac is saying warm and drier for the arctic. I think I'll go with NOAA's prediction.
We don't have the red cardinal in Alaska, we do have a Western Tanager, a type of cardinal. I looked up a description, "Western Tanagers have a flaming orange-red head, yellow body, and black wings. Females have only red faces, and their bodies are yellow-green."
Right now the only birds remaining, are some wrens, chickadees, sparrows, ptarmigans, gyrfalcons, and various owls. In the fall, the smaller birds will join into large multi species flocks for protection and in the spring will separate back into smaller same species flocks. The ravens have returned from the mountains, where they spend the summer in cooler weather. Several birds change color from season to season.

Last post by OnLonelyMountain - September 11, 2025, 10:31:37 AMGood morning everyone,
Glad to see you all here. Its 55°F, partly cloudy. It rained in the night and there was mist on the meadows. I slept in until a 1/4 til 7:00. Today will "more of the same" for me: wood cutting, continuing my desperate search for an MD willing to take me as a patient and who knows enough to help me. I've sent my records to several on request only to have them tell me they don't have the skills to help someone like me. Its demoralizing, as the spray draws nigh. I have not heard back from the lawyer I consulted with as to wether he'll take my case or not. Very stressed.
Phyllis, glad to hear you may get out for sun and fresh air👍
Amy and Rick, I dreamed about picking garden produce last night. I could even smell that green pepper in my dream😋
I best get going. Have a wonderful day.
