 Daybreak
Barry Manilow

I'm singin' to the world, it's time we let the spirit come in
Let it come on in
I'm singin' to the world, everybody's caught in the spin
Look at where we've been
We've been runnin' around, year after year
Blinded with pride, blinded with fear
But it's daybreak, if you want to believe
It can be daybreak, ain't no time to grieve
Said it's daybreak if you'll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (sing it to the world, sing, sing)
Play it, girl (sing it to the world, sing, sing)

Singin' to the world, what's the point in puttin' it down?
There's so much love to share
I'm singin' to the world, don't you see it all comes around?
The feeling's everywhere
We've been closin' our eyes, day after day
Covered in clouds, losin' our way

Hey, but it's daybreak
If you want to believe, it can be daybreak
Ain't no time to grieve
Said it's daybreak, if you'll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (gotta sing, sing it to the world)

 Ya sound great!!
(Gotta sing, sing it to the world)

Yes, and it's daybreak
If you want to believe, it can be daybreak
Ain't no time to grieve
Said it's daybreak, if you'll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (let's sing, sing it to the world)
Let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (sing it to the world, sing, sing)
(Sing it to the world, sing, sing)
Said it's daybreak
Can ya feel it? It's daybreak
Can ya see it? It's daybreak

"Somebody yell "One more time!" Ya may as well go all the way."
"One more time!"

Yes, and it's daybreak
If you want to believe, it can be daybreak
Ain't no time to grieve
Said it's daybreak, if you'll only believe
And let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (let's sing, sing it to the world)
C'mon and let it shine, shine, shine
All around the world (sing it to the world, sing, sing)

Around the world (sing it to the world, sing, sing to the world!)

Thank you, Bubble, for this even with suffering a bad cold, and thanks for all you do for us, unknown, unrecognized, and rarely noticed. And thank you, Phyllis, for such a great graphic for Bubble to use!

Amy

Good morning...

Cloudy and chilly this morning with a temp of 32°F
I cancelled the vet appointment due to road conditions. A friend said she was 2 hours late for work as her road was a skating rink!
Today is a little of everything to do and we shall see just what gets done.

Bubble, what Patricia said. I love the graphics especially the curious kitten!! Hope you are feeling better.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I've been up for a while.  Having a doggie in the house who needs my attention in the morning is kind of nice.  We've had breakfast and our first walk of the day and now he's settling in for his morning nap and I'm here.

Love the redecoration in the Soda Shoppe, BUBBLE.  You do a beautiful job!  I liked the curious kitty, too and the sayings were soooo true!

AMY, just in case you missed it on the old forum, I made your "Easy Hobo Supper" and I loved it.  And there's plenty to love today...and tomorrow...and Sunday....and maybe even Monday!  I'm thinking I might try freezing some of it!

Now I off to do a bit more office clean up!  I'm getting there!  But, like RICK, I'm not getting through the "stuff" in the store room!

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

This is NOT a funny April Fools joke!!! Snowing to beat the band out there.........heard
a robin earlier and saw the little nubs of rhubarb peeking up which are now back under snow!! :tickedoff:

Jane, glad you liked the Hobo supper
Yes... God bless them on their special day..

I'm here and grateful "Bubble got up from her sick bed to clean our meeting place up".  ;)  Seriously, Bubble, it is appreciated and a for real thank you. Hope you are a tad better & up to snuff soon. Are the flowers starting to bud or bloom in your area?

Thanks to you, Phyllis, for the graphics. Wish I had learned enough to do all that but I did not & the last old computer that held PSP is barely working, only able to do a little work on old photos with it.

Weather here in Kansas off to a bright sunshiny morning but possibility of rain/storms by afternoon. The eagle just flew down river so guess I missed it's early flight looking for food for it's mate. I suppose she is on the nest, not sure where this year. I have not been up & attem as early as other years (blame it on Covid?), trees are unusually still right now. I fed the birds out front & have watched them landing in the tree & taking turns hopping down for their favorites, pecans, peanuts, grapes & raisins as well as the usual mixed bird seeds. The last bag had more sunflower seeds than normal & they are leaving a lot on the ground. The bag before than had too much cracked corn... the lack of choices of bird food really can be blamed on "delivery problems, maybe Covid".

Ah, Jane, sorry you couldn't be with the rest for the wedding but somebody needs to tend the home fires, right?  They will be home with details & photos soon.

NO! NO! Amy, more snow is not a joke! It is time to plant & think summer.

It was a miserable weather day yesterday with heavy rain, high winds, and a tornado touch-down just about 10 miles from me.  But, today is beautiful and sunny and all is well.

Thanks for your appreciation of the graphic and THANK YOU, Bubble for keeping up the good work even when you don't feel well.

I don't do PSP any more, Shirley.  Bubble, is good at finding old graphics that I made 'way back.  I enjoyed it a lot when I made graphics with PSP and then, later with Photoshop, but those programs were lost when  my old computer crashed and I never updated and re-installed either program.  Now I just enjoy what Bubble and Patricia do.

Waiting to hear from the grocery store that my order is ready for pick-up and that is all that is planned for today.

Take care, and get well, All.

Bubble,  thanks for this:

Poor old Albert...
Wonder what he would have thought if
computers etc had taken over the world
in his day ?

It is nice having access to research at my
finger tips.    But  what good is "easy
access" if lies are mix in and thow doubt on
the truth of any matter?

I used to think how lucky I was
to be able to find the solution to
my problems or questions   (Just GOOGLE it!)

I never felt the need to remember anything
that I found so quickly  on the computer...
It went in my short term memory and vanished
when that run out.

Now my short term memory is flummoxed so
little ever goes on to long term memory..
I do best at remembering when someone starts
to talk about something.

That seems to open
up pathways to my un conscious where lots of
things are stored,  but not quickly accessible.

Einstein thought that doing things over and over
again and expecting the different result,  was
insane.
For me it just helps me to store
information in a place where I can still
capture it.

Thanks again Bubble!

Good morning; clear today with varying temperatures of zero, plus two to plus three depending on where you look, and all report some snow due tomorrow afternoon! A long, fifteen-degree drop from yesterday's low.

Otherwise, nothing new here other than we seem to be a month behind on our weather. Mother nature seems to be in a snit these days.

Hi Callie!   :coffee:  :em31:

Lloyd Hammond

well It Is not Noon yet, so I can still say good Morning. But I have just been up for a short while. slept in good on the second try today. I will just eat a noon meal and call it good. sun Is shining very bright and Is 27º here now. hope you all have a great day just as you like it.

Good morning everyone. I  did notice a first sign of spring yesterday, green sprouting up where day lilies are planted, nice. I knew no one was coming today so did not have to get up early and woke at almost 9am. Had to put cold water on my eyes to get them to open all the way.am thankful I get the help from CNAs but it is nice to have a day alone at times and that will be today, unless Mike shows up. Tomorrow Bill will be here, I am so used to him being here on Saturday mornings I really missed him last week but he wanted to be home in case his wife needed him, she had surgery on an ankle last Friday.

JANE  sounds right for a new business, getting rid of unneeded stuff in someone else's home. I seem to have junk multiplying in here and that is crazy because I don't get out shopping anymore. I keep  telling my family I do not need or want anything anymore, I like a visit more. I have boxes of pictures of my family and the names and some dates are on the backs but my sons have no interest in them. My daughter might but she is too far to look at them. I have a niece who might, she started looking up ancestry and her sister took over but she died a few months ago. I cannot face throwing them away.

PHYLLIS  no one in my family had allergies and I had none to pass on. My daughter said you are never too old to start with them. When my Mom was almost 60 they discovered she was diabetic and that she did pass on for a few generations. I am the only one of my siblings it bypassed. I tell my 3 to let their doctors know there is diabetes in their grandmother on my side.

JENNY  we had upper 60's and 1 low 70 a couple of weeks ago and the beginning of this week we had 3 nights in a row of temp in the mid teens. Took a few days for me to warm up again.

PATRICIA  our official weather comes from the airport that is in the southern part of the state and close to the ocean. Here we can be 15degrees different-colder in winter and hot in summer.

BUBBLE  thank you for the new month's page to fill up. Oh Phyllis that sundae is making me looking for a spoon to dig into it Yummy. Hmm, now who is it that likes frogs? She lives across the ocean from the US. That kitty better be friendly with the frog. Love the quote. When I have to reboot I send my grandson an SOS email. That way he knows I need help with my computer.

RICK  glad you left a mark so you do not get lost.

Hope no one gets you with an April Fools day joke today.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Hello Everyfriend!  I got a little more paper cleanup done around here today and some recipes copied and in my book to take with me to Cindy's and a lot of stuff disposed of.  Cooper and I had 3 nice long walks and aside from that, I did a lot of reading of my library book!

On one our our walks, I spotted 3 clumps of daffodils blooming and I couldn't help thinking of the song we used to sing when I was little and that I taught to all my kids and grandkids.....

Daffy-Down-Dilly has come up to town,
In a yellow petticoat and a green gown...

Isn't it funny how that old stuff comes to mind?

Now I'm off to an early bed time as soon as I finish some stuff on the computer.  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy tomorrow and may God bless us, every one!  And may He watch over the Ukrainians!

Time to say "Good Night", sweet dreams & God Bless. Hope y'all enjoyed your day, been a busy one around here. I'm off to get the pjs on, having trouble keeping eyes open when 2 cats zonked out on either side of me. Callie snores very loud but Tiger's just peaceful.

Amy, you asked somewhere back this week how old the cats are. I have a photo on my desktop of 4 cats, taken thru a window when Callie was still weaning her babies in our back yard. Photo is dated 1009, the babies are almost full grown but since Callie disappeared as soon as the babies were weaned and she didn't return until after Cas died 7/2/2013, the neighbors that had fed her a couple years before she brought those babies to Cas.... no clue how old SHE is but the babies were born early 2009 or maybe late 2008. We had all 3 fixed & the neighbor had Callie fixed at the same time.

The smallest baby was hit by a car the week after her surgery, she was the wildest of the 3, never let us pet her but Tom & Tiger became "indoor/outdoor" that first winter when temps got down to 12 below zero. Tiger is about 13 but best guess for Callie is 16 or over. I'm getting sleepier so not making sense!

Cas rigged them up a little home with carpet to sleep on, a light to warm it & another carpet covering to keep the heat in. They loved it until something scared them & they wouldn't go in it again. We tried cages in the house but Tom went absolutely crazy being closed in. That was when I lost control of my life!  Feral cats & fact they have been allowed in & out their whole life so kept their wild instincts, has a lot to do with their problems, especially Callie's refusal to use a litter box. I still have to put down the dog training pads for her (right next to a litter box).

End of cat tales (tails  ;)  ......... normal spring weather ahead, rain, storms hot & cold, little of everything.

When does everyone come home, Jane? Safe travels for all. My daffies are still blooming & I brought some in along with a sprig of forsythia. Sitting in a little white vase along with a small US flag, on the window sill where I do my bird & squirrel watching. Probably should have brought the rest in since supposed to freeze tonight.

Gloria, I do agree that some days it is nice to be alone, nobody setting any schedule for my time.

Amy

Good morning...

Chilly out yet with a temp of 20° but no snow .

Need to pick up our tax papers this morning  after I do a bit of grocery shopping. Laundry to do and put some baked beans on to cook.

Shirley, the cats are a good age,.I think being feral is harder on a cat but do think yours have the life of Riley, they are well cared for. Kyle's sister  had a Siamese cat that lived to be 29 yrs old.

Jane, now you have me going through nursery rhymes. Remember Itsy bitsy spider?
Here is your daffy-down -dilly

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMZdSdISK-4

Gloria, thank you for remarks on using strawberries. I hope the plants I put in the trug survived the winter. I did give them a blanket of straw so we shall see when it warms up.

Patricia, Mother Nature pulled a fast one on us yesterday by snowing. Tis gone now although a lot of the old snow remains.

Better get ready to meet the day.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Our nights around here are going down to the mid 30s and the days are up in the mid 50s.  We have rain, wind, sun gentle breezes, clouds....It's SPRING!

AMY thanks for the song.  It's a little better tune than mine but then most songs from ANYWHERE are better tunes than come from my mouth!

SHIRLEY, what you've done for the kitties is special!  You've given your time and love and energy to them for a long time!  You deserve some recognition for that.  Here's something from me...

Good Morning everyone. well the VA docter chainged my rutaine all around. so things are in a dizzey. It is 10 till 9 AM, and i can go eat now and do My vitals and send them along to VA. sun and clear skys here and 50º now. our three famley dumpster is piled very high, running over.the dogs keep standing on hind feet leaning on the dumpster taring bags open makein a mess all around it. Nancy takes her grabber out and pickes it up and re bagges it.the people that bought our trash service are on strike trying to get some benifit. I do not know why they did not go along with the sale of old tras searves. Have a good day.

Chilly here, too.  Temp. was 37 deg. when I got up and a frost alert was in effect for last night.  Sunny now and up to 50 deg. already.  Beautiful day but the pollen count is sky-high and I was coughing and sneezing during the night so I agree with the weather people, for once.

My daffodils came and went early in March.  Azaleas are in full bloom now and so are dogwood trees.  It's a beautiful time of the year for all of the ornamental trees and shrubs but a really hard time for allergy sufferers.  Glad your family doesn't have to worry about that, Gloria.

I must get some breakfast before it is time for lunch.

Take care, All.

Good morning from the Interior, I hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy and sane.

Shirley

"Sane" is a stretch, Patricia!  Jane, I have no doubt quite a few of you in here would be doing the same if a Mama cat GAVE her babies to you. Problem is that Cas was the one she gave them to & I am clean up squad! Thanks for the vote.

The sun is bright & fairly warm out, not like last week so will get out & do a few chores.

Lloyd, I don't understand people going on strike, if they can get something better why not just work someplace else?  Not fair to customers to have to put up with the mess. On the other hand, is there any other trash service you can get. I wouldn't feel too loyal to any company that didn't provide service paid for!

Phyllis, I have a high school friend that lives in Andersen, SC with a yard full of azaleas, happened to stop & visit for a few hours at the right time. Her back yard edges on a large lake, gorgeous place. BUT, I need to call her & dread, last time she was not doing well. She has one son that lives "out west", not a happy future for her, I'm afraid. Her husband died about same time as Cas but sometimes "crap" just happens to good people. By the way, my allergies are over the top & everyone I know says the same. A bumper crop of plants & trees opening up all at once. Invest in Kleenex or Puffs!

Amy, I thought 18 years for old LaurenKat was probably a record, afraid you upset my train of thought, just blew up with your 29 year old! I may go hide in a corner. I drove past the Farmer's Market while ago & from the street could see quite a few vendors selling garden plants. I used to start my seeds in Jan & put tomato plants out by St.Paddy's Day. Always the Early Girls & Big Boys (Burpee's if I can find the seed packets the fall before). The family room in that house was 30' long & all floor to ceiling windows & sliding door on East side, loved that morning sun.

Amy

It has been a day!! Bread is in the oven and laundry off the line. Shopping was a breeze early in early out. After putting everything away we  took the garbage in to the landfill, then down to Timmies  and that was a huge mistake!! We were going to go through the drive through but then I spotted it!! A lady was at the rear of her vehicle with the back open and there were 8 cuddly furballs in a cage. They were Border Collie/Australian Shepard cross..   two left.....both males. I held one and he just cuddled right in and didn't move. Broke my heart to leave him. :( I am sure the lady will find them both good homes.
