Well, time for bed.  My nightly routine has been taken care of and checked all my cyber friends to see how your day went.

They once again are saying good chance for rain tomorrow and next day.  Figures I have to go have an ultra scan tomorrow afternoon.  Don't mind the scan but where I have to go at that time is going to be the pits.  Lots of traffic.

Gloria, I hope you get in better spirits tomorrow.

Nite, nite, God Bless and Sweetdreams

Good Night everyone.

Sarah came home from the hospital around noon today and is feeling much better but she will have to have her tonsils out at some point.  She has way too many sore throats and tonsils a bit swollen at times.

Good Night Everyfriend! I'm off to Dreamland!  I wish you pleasant dreams, peaceful sleep and a tomorrow filled with whatever you wish!

JANE, happy that Sarah is home, but it sure would have been nice if they had just kept her and taken the tonsils out and not make her have to go back to do it.  Hope she feels much better tomorrow.

Michele had her PET Scan today, so now we wait and pray that they do nit see anything that is not wanted in the scan.

I wish you all a good night of rest.

Just Like Mom

He didn't like the casserole,
And he didn't like my cake.
My biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.

I didn't perk the coffee right,
He didn't like the stew.
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.

I pondered for an answer,
I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and smacked him...
Just like his Mother used to do.

Food For Thought

"Do One "Future Thing"
By Bob Perks

I always tell you to live in the present. You can't do anything about the past. We aren't promised tomorrow. Still because of my present life I have come to believe there is something of great value in doing at least one thing each day for the future.

Sometimes the present is so dark and dim that we can't believe in better days ahead. There's no reason to go on.

So, I suggest that, like I am trying to do, force yourself to do at least one "Future Thing" each day.

Doing so breaks the grip of depression ever so slightly that the small light of tomorrow will appear like a beacon.

One Future Thing confirms that you believe this isn't the end.
Please. "One Future Thing"

I was asked after posting this today what one "Future Thing" did I do?
I hung new curtains in my bedroom.  Well, not new just different ones I had in the attic.  Making such a change said to me that I really didn't want it all to end today.  Why would I change the curtains?

G'morning ALL..  A nice bright one here in the south, hope you wake up to the same Lloyd  :), now that spring has it's foot firmly in the door, I guess you will soon have the better weather to get all of those problems sorted out...
Reading of the past few days  correspondence about the word 'Peculiar', I thought perhaps this web site may be of some help, it's been many years since I had to struggle  with that one !, Google search > www.royal peculiars-the association of English cathedrals < you may find it of some interest and as K-E-L-L-Y from the Isle of Man says, don't even think of the 'Cockney rhyming slang' :crazy2:,  still, it's good for a laugh amongst friends !  :2funny:
                                                                                cheers.

A good Tusday morning...weather has been very changeable, getting warmer but intermingled with sun and downpours practically every day....

Not long taken in 7.30am my delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables.... cant order from Abel and Cole anymore, they dont yet deliver to this area but I am back with Riverford organic deliveries...

I am expecting to take in parcel deliveries that are due today, already taken in a cream metal dish drainer....cream mantel clock is due later...

Tonight I shall be going to the MS meeting, 7-9.30'ish, just a 10 minute drive, R will of course take me and stay.....

Our BT engineeer ( Openreach ) turned up yesterday, put a new socket in the office for our computer, moved our telephone back into our living room, got that up and working properly again so, this should be the last time I/we here of BT....

My MS has been playing up bad these last few days...my right leg has come live again, it never gives any warning when an electirc like spasm takes hold....my stomach, hips and lower backside is also stiff, ache'y and uncomfortable, turned a heavy feeling again, think the leg has peaked so expecting all to die down soon....

Yesterday we got a second maintenance quote for work that needs doing to our outside of home, re, dampness seeking through....we are accepting his quote, he will start work in June which includes painting the outside.....This man knew of our surveyor, didn't have much good to say about him as he had heard of someone else claiming back some money due to him not picking up on everything, work needing in doing that he missed....R phoned our surveyor who told him if he gets 2 quotes on outstanding work, he would compensate financially, lets hope he does because we have quite a bit of money to fork out....

R is in contact via email with our old next door neighbour, who tells us there have been decorators in our old house, and that owners have chopped down all the trees from the back garden overlooking the field, which next door neighbour is not too happy about as he said it gave there garden shade.... I just feel sad for my birds, oh I wish that we could have sold to a nature lover, someone who would have appreciated the wildlife, trees and birds...

Joan, love reading Bob Perks, especially his today advice....

Lloyd Hammond, thank you I really enjoyed your link yesterday of your version of Ave Maria, Daniela de Santos...

Roley, bright here too in Dorset but I hear we are due some heavy rain, again.....

Amy

Good morning everyone..

Nice to wake up to no rain or snow!!! They are calling for rain but that is alright,I don't have to shovel that.

Chasing dust bunnies today, and getting some sewing done is in order. Have a pot of pea soup that will take care of lunch and rice pudding for dessert.

Enjoy your day everyone..

Good Morning Everyfriend!  Went to bed a bit late last night and got up a bit later today.  I felt very tired last night.  Much better today.

For those of you who might have missed it, my daughter-in-law, Sarah is back home from the hospital.  She will need to have her tonsils out at some point but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Today is "putz" day for me.  I need to do a bit of laundry, take my trash to the dumpster, vacuum the LR, clean up after the dogs...nothing of any significance....just putzing!

I hope you all get to do exactly as you wish today!  Make it a good day.

Good morning, roley.  The sun is just rising here, and a warm day is forecast.

Good morning Jackie/Vanilla.  It sounds like you are still getting settled--new items, new suppliers, work done on home and still more scheduled etc.  I sure hope you get compensated for things you are having to get repaired that were not noted in the inspection.  Hope your MS settles down.

Amy--Good morning.  Oh happy day--no date with a shovel or snowblower.  Chasing dust bunnies is w---.:)  Pea soup sounds so good.

Good morning, Janie.  I sure hope Sarah can get those tonsils out fairly soon so she doesn't keep getting sick.  Sounds to me like you are going to do some w--- today, too.  I'd better hunt up my demerit ledger and find the pages for you and Amy.:)

Good morning everyone, warm this morning in the upper 50's but rain on the way again. Very windy again, too.  It was whistling around this corner most of the night.  Woke me several times. Sure would not like living where it is windy all the time.

KELLY  Moghrey Mie. Some days there are so many posts I cannot comment  to everyone so no need to be sorry. Some days I feel chatty and others I just read and say little.

MYCHEAL  no sun shining here today. Too bad the areas that need the rain do not get it, we have had more than enough here lately.

HAL  these gloomy rainy days are not nice to Art H Ritis. Makes it hard doing anything, even sitting here typing. Hope you get lucky and find the traffic light and a place to park closer to the entrance.

JANE  glad Sarah is home. I never had my tonsils out. In my late teens and early 20's I had a strep throat every year. One doctor I saw here asked when I had them out and then said they must have shrunk with the strep infections and all the penicillin shots I had at those times.

JENNY  I pray that the PET scan is clear for Michele. Would make her and all the family thank God.

SUN  good morning.

JOAN  an Egg McMuffin sure will taste great this morning.
Just Like Mom-he deserved that smack. Hope my sons never said anything like that. Like the Bob Perks story today. Like today's quote. Thank you for today's goodies.

ROLEY  glad you are having good weather.

JACKIE  if R stays at the MS meeting and listens he will have a better understanding of what you are going through.

AMY  I'll be there for lunch. Love home made pea soup and rice pudding is always good.

JANE  after all this time out of work will you find it hard having to get back into the routine of getting up early again?

LLOYD  good morning.

Gloria, I'm sure things will change when I go back to work.  For instance, I won't be sitting here with my second cup of coffee, still in my jammies at 9:15.

Sarah didn't want to have her tonsils out right now since we are ALL going to Texas for the wedding in a few weeks.  She will be missing work then and has already lost a week and she just changed jobs and is hardly into the new one yet.  I'm thinking that she will do it after school starts in the Fall.  She cherishes her time with Kiran in the summer and if she's in school, no one has to be responsible for her while Sarah is under the weather.  Kiran's schedule will go on as usual while Sarah recovers.

I'm off now to get dressed, make the bed and ....do "stuff"!

Good morning, Gloria.  I sure wish you could send some of that rain our way. You can keep the wind.  We had several days of those gusts.  Today it is calm.

Janie--I can understand the reasons Sarah wants to wait until fall to have her tonsils removed.

Lloyd, I would love that but we are flying both ways this time.  I'm getting a bit old to make that trip by car anymore and so is my car.  However, I do thank you and Nancy for your offer.  I would love another visit with you.  The last one was way too short.

Good Morning Everyone!

Dark, dreary morning here.  Not cold, but the wind is cool and it feels like rain.  And they say possible storms tonight.  I hope nothing like they got up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area yesterday.  Grapefruit size hail.  Now that will ruin your day.

Janie, guess you are counting down now till you go back to work.  I hope your foot holds up with standing like you have to.  Happy to hear Sarah is out of the hospital and back on her feet.  How things are changed from my youth.  Taking tonsils out was the thing to do back in my childhood.

Got to go.  Being paged.

Hi everyone.  It is a gloomy and dark morning but a nice 64 degrees but headed up to 70 degrees this afternoon.  We have a 50% chance of showers at various times today following some showers during the night.  I have the whole day ahead of me with nothing on a planned schedule.

Yesterday afternoon I used my new gardening tools, a nice size shovel and hand rake and got the 4 twenty-eight pound bags of planting soil in the big planters.  Then as I was putting my hand cart away in the garage I discovered there is something wrong with my garage door opener.  I finally got the door open but had to manually let it down.  I have printed out the manual and will look at it later today.  I did note it is guaranteed for 5 years but didn't see if that extended to labor costs.  We have decided to get a second tomato plants as the container is certainly large enough to support two to three plants.  We will get a different kind and compare the output after the season.  We also need to get the herbs and another nice flower for the ceramic flower vase that is on our back porch.

Just this week we decided to use our dinette table that is in the sun room rather than our large dining room table to have our meals on.  We have this heavy duty steal cart on wheels that is great for putting the meal on to get to the table in one trip and for clearing the table.  This way we can enjoy our back yard as we eat as have windows all around.  We can no longer see our big family room TV but we can get the Dish Anywhere on our tablets and on my phone. I found a little picture frame holder that serves as a nice holder for the phone and now we can watch the news or another program while eating, which we have done for years.  So the dinette table is going to work very well for us. I have never liked dining at the dining room table over the years. Pat moved her 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle to the dining room table and this was actually what brought on the change for us.

June, no seeds in our gardening plans just some already started plants.  We don't want to push our luck on the first try.  However, having paid over $3 for one little tomato plant is sure causes one to consider starting them from seeds.  Maybe I should subscribe to some seed catalogs.

Joan, I have a couple of big bags of linen and bedding that we moved in the car to donate  that Pat realizes was just taking up drawer or shelf space and would never be used again.

Amy, I think pigs are actually pretty smart.  However, I have never understand the craze a few years ago with miniature pigs as pets.

Patricia, Joan, and  JeanneP I can remember the first postings that Gladys made on the old SeniorNet.  She had never typed and her messages took some careful reading.  However, we all encouraged her and I loved to read her postings and enjoyed meeting her, along with many others, at the Atlanta Bash.

Hal, hope you have been able to find a close by parking space at the testing location.

JaneS, glad to see that Sarah is better and home from the hospital.

Jenny, know the wait for the PET Scan results will be hard to wait for.

Jackie, you refer to a "cream" metal dish drainer and mantel clock.  Are you referring to the color?  Sorry to hear of the flare up of your MS and hope you will soon be feeling much better.  Are home inspectors licensed in England?  It sounds like the one that inspected your new home leaves something to be desired.  Sure hope you get some financial relief on the repairs needed that you didn't know about.

Lloyd, it sounds like the nurse gave you good advice.  sure glad you awoke feeling better this morning.

JoanFL

Good morning, halkel.  Wow!!  Grapefruit size hail could do some serious damage.  And who pages you?

Larry--Good morning.  I've been meaning to ask you if you've used the new pill splitter.  If so, how do you like it?  You folks are really getting into the gardening.  Eating at the table in the sunroom sounds pleasant--you can enjoy your backyard.  Doesn't seem your garage door should be malfunctioning so quickly.  Hope it's covered by a warranty.

Well, I finished a couple of the "things" on my list...made the bed and straightened up the bedroom, got myself out of my jammies and into some everyday clothes, emptied the dishwasher...now what shall I get into?

Hal, I've been released to start back to work on the 18th.  If they get me some hours for the rest of April and a week and a half in May, I'll be on my way to Texas on May 12th for my granddaughter's wedding and then staying for a visit with my daughter.  If you weren't so far from Dallas, I might suggest a meeting but I know it's about 5 hours one way.  Don't know why they made Texas so dash-blasted BIG!

Larry Hanna, yes both cream in colour.....The mantel clock sits nicely where it belongs...it is a Newgate brand clock...

Gloria, I am soon leaving for MS social evening, that's if I can keep awake, as I often doze off several times through the day, and haven't dozed off yet.......Yes R will feel uncomfortable being there as he is a person who doesn't feel old, nor wont accept that he is old....I know he will feel uncomfortable and have that pitiful for them look, as nothing I say about my illness really sinks into him......Have to admit I am not feeling too great, a bit of dizziness and unstableness when I am walking but, I know there will be worse there when I get there...

Jenny, I am routing for a clear result, re, Michelle's PET scan...

Jane S, hope your bosses will be kind to you and release those days in April and May so you can travel to your wedding in Texas...

JoanFL

Thanks, Sandy.  I'll try it after my nap.:)
